dismount the a/c compressor This one is fun. Loosen the power steering unit. Remove the belt. Loosen the Air conditioner Idler pulley and remove the belt. Loosen the alternator and remove the belt. At this point it is best to buy new belts for each unit, so you don't have to go through this again. The alternator is removed by pulling the pinion bolt and the lock nut.

At the back of the mirror you will find a rubber stopper. The stopper is same color as the mirror. Remove that stopper and it will reveal a screw. Tighten the screw to adjust. Be careful not to remove the screw. If you do you will have to open up the mirror to catch it back.

Also, depending on how flexible you are and the length of your screwdriver, you may need to remove the mirror. Use a screwdriver to pry out the plastic cover and and you will see all three screws holding the mirror to the roof.

I just replaced my back driver's side shock on my 98 Inifinti QX4 last night. Jack up the car at the back differential. Take the tire off and unbolt the shock at the top (you may have to unscrew the plastic in the inside of the wheel well). Then proceed to unbolt the shock at the bottom (you will need a crescent wrench to hold one side while you undo the other side with an impact gun or socket set). I would recommend using an impact gun because the bolts are tight and in hard to reach places. Once your done removing the old shock, bolt the new shock at the top then cut the wire or plastic holding it compressed. It gets tricky because the shock will start to decompress and you have to get it to fit into the lower connector and get the bolt through it, while it is pushing out. I was really worried that the shocks were going to be under much pressure, but they did not have that much and would extend slowly. I

I had the light on for a year or so...but this worked for me.

While the car is off, open the door, and turn the key to the on position and press the door side switch at LEAST 5 times within 7 seconds (personally, I just kept pushing the switch as many times as I could during 7 seconds)

- After doing that, wait one second

- Now move the key to the (1) position (between LOCK & Accessory)*

*If this doesn't work, I offer this alternative that better conformed to my 1998 i30):

The (1) position on my 1998 i30's ignition IS the LOCK position. So instead of stopping midway between LOCK and Accessory, and failing each time, I simply turned the key all the way to the (1) LOCK position. Once I stopped trying to go midway between LOCK and Accessory...it worked like a charm!

- Close the door, move the key back to the LOCK position and then start the engine.

To replace the rotor you are going to have to do it just like you are changing brakes but instead of just pulling off the calliper you will need to pull off the entire bracket I believe it is going to be two 18 mm bolts and then after that you should just be able to slide the rotor right off also if replacing rotors make sure you replace pads even if they have full life because they will not wear right

You can't possibly put 18.5 gallons of oil in that vehicle do don't attempt this, its not a cruise liner or a tank. That's the gas tank capacity. Fully drain, then add 3.9 quarts of SAE 5W30. Then start and run for about 20 seconds, then turn off and check oil level. Repeat until level is on point.

After you have secured your vehicle on an approved lift or jack, remove the wheel. The caliper is removed first by removing the two bolts located at the back side of the caliper. After the caliper is removed, rest it on something secure so it does not hang on the brake fluid flex line. Than open the brake fluid reservoir under the hood. This allows the brake fluid to move when adjusting the caliper piston. Using a spanner wrench, turn the piston to back it into the caliper until flush with the rubber o-ring. Make sure when you do this, your brake fluid does not overflow in your brake fluid reservoir. Than install the brake pads exactly the way the old ones came off. If you have a digital camera, take a few pics of the brakes before you remove them. You may need them as a reference when installing your new brakes. Slide the brake caliper back over the rotor and into place and align to insert the mounting bolts. Install the mounting bolts and tighten securely. Re-install the cover to your brake fluid reservoir but make sure the fluid level is correct. Inspect rotor and brake flex line for any wear than re-nstall the wheel. If you have not disconnected your brake line, you do not have to bleed the brake system. Remove the vehicle from your lift, than start the vehicle. In park, pump the brake pedal until the brakes automatically adjust. If the pedal is more than halfway down, re-inspect your brake system for other problems.

It is located on the driver's side above the transmission. You will have to remove the air filter box to access it and it is held on by 2 bolts. You can also visualize the starters selenoid between the filter box and the engine. Good luck.

Loosen the bolts on the pump to allow the belt to lose tension. Remove the belt, then put on the new belt. Pull the pump to tighten the belt snug but not over tight while tightening the bolts.

My 2000 130 had the same problem. I took it back to the shop and it was determined that my belt needed replaced. It is perfect now. I neglected to ask how it could be the belt considering the fact that it didn't squeek before the alternator died.

The starter is below the air intake duct. You simply remove the duct and the air cleaner housing assembly.
