I removed the whole air filter assembly and used a long wrench to get to the biggest nut on the EGR valve. You might have to use some kinda spray to break it loose, but other than that, it was just another smaller hose and it was pretty easy.

It is under the dash, in back of the glove box.

but it depends what CPU unit looks like it can be diffrent

Remove the air filter and pipes on top. They include a few screws and electrical clips. The starter is on top. Remove the bolts, put the new one in and replace the bolts. Put the air mechs back on. Done. Took 20 mins total. Cost was 139.

You never need to replace the timing chain if the engin use timing chain(not timing belt).

Oil Filter is on the drivers side of the engine, below the air filter box

you probably got to rich gas mixture. most likely you have a oxygen sensor code. you might have to replace the 02 sensor and mabye your spark plugs. go have the codes pulled and you can get it diagnosed better.

when you open the hood of the car and your facing it, lookto the far right near the bottom. there should be a small black box. open it, and change the fuse.

Remove the 4 allenhead bolts from the v-6 3000 emblem in center of the valve cover. Lift off { Tshapped v-6} 3000 emblem. Remove spark coils located beneath. Remove plugs under spark coils. As far as I know you must replace coils and wires together. However you can replace just the plugs.

You'll need to bring it to an actual Infiniti dealer, they'll reprogram it for a charge. If you take this route, you might as well get a newer/better remote from eBay or keylessride.com, they have excellent customer service. Good Luck!

How do you put rear brakes and pistons back on a 2001 Infinity I30

1997-1998 I30 replace fog lamp.

1. Jack up car.

2. Remove phillips head screw under outside fender, remove bottom most plastic retaining clip towards the front inside of the wheel well, remove 10mm bolt under car connecting engine under-tray and fender under-tray.

3. Gently bend plastic back towards wheel exposing fender space.

4. Unscrew black plastic cap on back of fog light assembly, similar to headlight assembly

5. Un-clip pin inside housing holding light bulb and pull bulb out.

6. Disconnect light bulb by pulling connectors apart inside plastic crimp tube and remove threaded shroud from original bulb wires.

7. Install threaded shroud on new bulb wires, insert connector and connect inside plastic crimp tube.

8. Insert bulb back inside fog light housing (this is a pain, you may have to use both hands). Bulb only inserts one way. Make sure it is flush with housing and snugly in place. Re-clip pin holding fog light bulb in place. Reconnect black plastic cap.

9. Replace fender under-tray and all bolts/clips.

The inner thread dimensions are 24mm / 1.5 pitch, so the outer dimension of the nut is most likely 36mm.

Infinit's website says that removing battery cables for 24 hours will reset the Service Engine Soon light. Computer memory is only 24 hours so it should go off when cables are re-attached. If light comes back on, take to a service center for diagnostics. Try this next procedure. This worked for me (procedure turned off the SES Light off). Changed the spark plugs using Bosch Platinum +4 spark plugs (four electrodes); awesome plugs. Cleaned the Mass Flow Sensor using Mass Flow Sensor cleaner. Whallah, the light turned off instantly and has stayed off. Performance on car has increased and it runs very smooth. This worked very well for me. The process has tuned my engine and has allowed the gas to burn more effectively. The O2 sensors have responded by telling the engine computer that the engine is running cleaner. Before trying this tuneup process, 89 and 92 octane did turn off the light for awhile as well. But the tune-up turned off the light completely.

There is no cabin air filter.

Usually the VSS is located on the gear box. See if you can find it by looking between the firewall and the engine, sometimes it sticks out of the top of the gear box. If you speedo is not working it can be caused by three things, most likely the wiring connection is broken, secondly a broken speedo cluster, thirdly a broken VSS. But usually the VSS is quite robust because it is basically a magnetic sensor. Peter

5w-30... amsoil is a good product.. any quality synthetic. its your motors life blood change it on recommended service points. don't be cheep it will cost you!

Hold down the lock and unlock buttons, on the key fob, together for several seconds and the system will change to lights with horn.

all late ninties i30's and maximas with 3.0 have timing chains

First of all, you would need to buy a replacement from an Infiniti dealer. I searched literally every auto parts store and none had the one for the I-30. It's pretty much a specialty item. Use a screwdriver to gently pry the complete cigarette lighter out of the dash. Unplug the wires from the old unit and connect them to the new unit. Push back into console. It's actually a very simple process.
