A Nation building is an all enconpassing process that accomodates no limits, and election is part and parcel of moving country forward, rgardless of whether a country is a liberal democracy or socialist democracy, including communist China. A process of Election Malprarctice (EM) ia s process that strangulates the just, fair and smooth runing of a public decision within a particular country or organisation to make chice between alternitives.

Election Malpractice is wide by its connotations as if we limit it to the concept of Democratic Elections, it may implys any act that has tendency of intefaring with the true result of an election, from the inception to its ligical conclussion, this refers to pre-election activities to the actual post election happening.The internal party election and all surrounding circumstance also could be the foundation of rigging or malpractice. The acct of corrupt practices and elecetoral misdeeds, not limited to, violence, vote buying, false declarations,partial electoral commission, weak arrangement violation protection human rights of electorates etc, are all part of the constituent elemnets of EM.

The question to ask how could a Nation be built on ashakky and fraudlent foundation. Also once an election is rigged the legitimacy of the government is in question, where legitimacy is in question, how could the govrnment command respect and make policies for the development,and also the tax payer may not feel oblige to pay, also the leaders who came to power through election malpractices in a county or organisation may not be sensitive to the desire of people, organisation or country.

The level of conflicts in most African countries is as a result of electoral malpractices, see the elections in Kenya, Nigeria and Algeria. Nigeria one of the richest oil producing country in the world had faced alot of conflicts in its Niger-Delta Region, that affected its exportation of oil from 3Million berrel per day to 1.2 Miillion per day, this would definitely affect the Nation building. The same with conflict regions in Africa, Angola,DRC, Rwanda,Brundi, Yuganda. It is a common theory that a conflict affect the economic status and develoment in country.
