Put more oil in if its not full already, other wise it will tick until the oil has fully gone through the system. Does it tick during idle or all the time?

Other wise why are you just bothered about the idle time ticking? Especially if its only for a few mins.

I have the same question for a 1995 Jeep hatch - not much help other than to validate the question.

Remove the old master cylinder. Use line wrenches to avoid damage to the brake line fittings. Bench bleed the the new master cylinder you have purchased. The parts store will tell you how to accomplish this and sell you the necessary bleed kit. Carefully install the new master cylinder. Reconnect the brake lines and do not over tighten. Now with a helper, bleed the brake system. Start at the Right Rear wheel. Find the bleeder located on the back side of the wheel at the wheel cylinder. It should have a small rubber cap. Remove the cap and using a boxed in wrench, loosen the bleeder valve slightly while your helper is applying steady pressure to the brake pedal. The pedal will go to the floor and you will see and hear air bubbles come for the bleeder. Tighten the valve and then tell the helper to release the brake pedal and do it all over again. Keep doing this until no air appears. Periodically check the master cylinder and do not allow the fluid level to get too low as it will suck more air into the system. Remind you helper to never release the brake pedal until you give the OK. If he releases the pedal while the valve is open, air will be drawn into the system. Now after bleeding the RR wheel, move to the LR, then RF, and finish with the LF.

Place the ring around the new handle, and replace handle in door (Leave the retaining clips on the new handle) Slide the keys down until it will move no more--then gently tap down a little with some more manual persuasion. Replace the actuator bar and cotter pin, and put everything back together.

It would be helpful to tell us what kind of Jeep you have. But I believe 1995 Jeeps had OBD1. Anything older than 1996 is OBD1. the port on the jeep is located under the dash at the column it should be a little black box thing the about size of a match box that you can take the cover off of to locate the port.

If it is a 4.2, the fuel filter is in-line and located between the fuel pump and the carburetor. Mine is right in front of the carb. If it is the 2.5 fuel injected motor, the filter is located on the left frame rail behind a shield just in front of the shock absorber.

This is usually due to a binding that happens when the rear wheels have turned at a different speed than the front due to turning left or right. the shift lever could be bent or dirty needing cleaning and lube, or you could have low fluid level in your T-Case. If you have the vacume type shifter in your front end, a line may have a leak or fallen off. The vacume unit on your front end if you have one may be bad and need either cleaning or replacement. A bad ball joint isn't safe any way you look at it. Some major damage can happen if the wheel becomes dislodged from the chassis. The major component holding the wheels on are the ball joints, upper and lower, which hold the spindle that houses the axle. The spindle holds the wheel bearing, tie rod, brakes, wheel etc. You can lift the vehicle up by the front and check the wheel for play, up and down. There shouldn't be much, if any play. If there is alot of play then you shouldn't drive it much till it get's fixed. That's my opinion. Good luck.

There are 7 pulleys to put it over or under on the 4.0. The ridged side of the belt goes on the ridged pulleys, the smooth side of the belt goes on the smooth pulleys. The ridged side is 'inside' the loop made by the fan. So starting on the left (facing the truck) The upper left corner pulley (AC Compressor) OVER Directly under that, low, the alternator UNDER OVER the fan UNDER the motor INSIDE the tensioner OVER the power steering pump UNDER the water pump Another way to put it: So the two large, center pulleys are the water pump and the motor. It is on the bottom of both of these. The top two on left and right, respectively are the AC Compressor and the power steering pump. it is on top of these. The remaining two pulleys are on the left; a small one low is the alternator which the belt runs on the bottom. The other is the fan which the belt runs over the top. Make sure the tensioner pushes the belt IN TOWARD THE WATER PUMP as you tighten it.

It's hard to say without the year, model and engine size. From 1990 on, Cherokees, Comanches and Wagoneers took 4,5,or 6 quarts depending on which engine. the 2.5L engines take 4 quarts, the 5.2L engines take 5 quarts and the 4.0L engines take 6 quarts. I suspect but don't know for sure that the same engines would be in the Wranglers.

pass side radiator not all the way down on the side. i think you can get at it if you take the light bezel off the right headlight. 4 scews has the turnsignal light in it.

The most common problem with 1999 and up Jeeps over heating is the cooling fan relay. On your 2003 Jeep, if it has an A/C, check to see if the A/C clutch remains engaged when you turn it on. Both the cooling fan and the A/C clutch runs off the same relay circuit. The cooling fan relay is located below the passenger side head light assembly, you'll need to remove the fachia to access it.

I have a 92 Jeep Cherokee that started doing the same thing. It turned out that the left front tire had lost a wheel weight and was out of balance. I put new shocks and dampner on it while I had it out of service. Best of luck. It could be a plugged fuel filter. Is it a surge type feeling back and forth like running out of gas?
