there is a 10 amp fuse under the dash behind a fuse panel ,it is right next to where your left foot/ankle would be sitting in the driver seat,i think it is the second fuse from the bottom closest to the door

Are you sure it's the valve that's leaking. Look very closely at the ends of the brake lines I have on occasion had one that has a very small crack in the end where it is flared.

Add fluid through the "Transmission Dip Stick" tube. Be careful that you do not overfill. Check the level with the engine at operating temperature.

Under then engine. Its is ribbed with the drain bolt on the passenger side.

Take the tire off and then remove the little clips from the studs. You will probably have to tear or rip them off. Dont worry they arent neccesary. The wheel will hold the drum on. Then pull the drum off. If it doesnt come off you will have to remove the little rubber cover in the back of the drum and "back' off the pads from the drum. It is a cog looking thing that has teetch going up and down. Use a screw driver to push the teeth either up or down. It will click as you do this. One way will tighten it and the other will loosen it. I never can remember if it is up or down. Good luck.

I used to have a 2002 Kia Spectra LS and I have replaced my alternator myself. I will suggest you pray first because it is a little tricky thing to do. Do the following through the passenger side of the engine bay of course with the hood up. First and most important is to disconnect the negative connection to the battery (driver side). Using a 12mm socket loosen the tension adjusting screw and bracket screw. Using a 10mm socket or open end remove wirings. Pinched other connector to remove. Using 14mm socket with 3/8 drive ratchet remove the big bolt on the lower side of the alternator. You might need some help from a pipe for extra leverage. Remove all parts that will hinder the removal of the alternator.For example the charcoal cannister on the firewall just slide up. AC lines may be in the way. If you have AC, also dismount the cruise control cable, remove the canister bracket, remove the ground wire from the intake manifold, and unbolt the AC line bracket from the fender. In order to ease the alternator through the opening by turning the alternator until it can pass through the opening, I offer the following". Face the pulley up, and the bracket ears oriented frontward and back. I had the Battery connector to the back, and succeeded, but not without hanging up a bit. I am not trying it again, except sending he new one the other way round. If you have AC, you'll be wedging it a little this way and a little that way. Installation of the replacement is just the opposite. Do not over tighten the alternator belt for it will ruin you bearings prematurely. Should be able to deflect 1/4 of an inch with slight pushing pressure against the belt downwards.

For the driver side headlight assembly(for passenger, reverse lefts and rights), there are 3 10mm bolts. One on the right top near the fender, as you're looking at the car. And 2 on the left side of the assembly, facing the engine, next to the radiator. Once the bolts are removed, pull the assembly straight out. This may take some force as the assembly is still being held in place by a plastic clip on the lower right of the assembly. Once removed, the low beam bulb is accessible by giving a slight turn to the round piece on the back of the headlamp assembly directly behind the low beam lens. There is a large O-ring holding it in, so give it a tug if it doesn't come freely. The metal bulb retaining clip can be released by pushing the side opposite of the screw, down and to the side. The retaining clip should hinge out of the way freeing the bulb. When installing make absolutely sure you fully seat the assembly back into the plastic clip before replacing the bolts. For me this took a sharp push, with my left hand on the top center, and my right hand on the bottom right of the assembly. And it still took me a few tries to get it to clip in. As long as you keep the pushing force to the outside of the plastic lens, and not the center, you shouldn't have to worry about breaking it.

The EGR valve on my 2003 Optima (2.4L) is located basically in the rear of the engine compartment, near the firewall, almost dead center of the car, just below the throttle body. Not sure if it is the same place on the 6 cylinder.

When the correct code is displayed, press the SEL button once. If the system is still locked, repeat these steps.
