check to see if the ride height sensor is hooked up properly. Its the little shock absorber looking thing by the air bag. When this happened on mine reattaching the part and then restarting the car fixed it. You may have to take a flat blade screwdriver and bend the little metal retaining clip back so that it will holdto the spindle on the control arm.
Silly boy... buy the air hose repair kit - it is a Ford part - I think about $15 - the shocks have nothing to do with the rear air suspesion - you must have a leaking air line - fix it.

Further info: Premium sound system with 10CD changer in trunk. I have replaced the changer with a used replacement. The symptom is the same. However, the replacement unit does cycle when the magazine is inserted.
MaybeIt is entirely possible that if you are using CD's that you burned yourself they will not read. I have an older CD player and it wont accept anything but original CD's purchased from a store, when i burn one it wont read it. And definitely make sure that they are CD music format and not mp3 or wmvCheck this
The face plate for the stereo is removable. Thru time & use the wear out. Check with local junk yards for a parts car & if youre lucky you find one with the correct stereo in it. Get all the parts ( or entire car ) if possiable. They are becoming very hard to find!!

You need a ratchet long extensions and I think a 10mm socket. On the drivers side follow the radiator hose to the junction where you see two bolts, remove and that is where the thermostat is. It's a pain but take your time and you will be fine. Don't forget to "burp" the system when putting in coolant, fill till full, remove the bolt on the front of the intake manifold and fill till full. Squeeze the hose lightly a couple of times and the coolant should go down, keep filling until it stays full, replace bolt and drive and watch the temp. gauge, if it heats up you need to repeat the filling up by removing the bolt and repeating until it runs normal. Sometimes it can take a few times before it's right. Sorry about the novel.
No permanent damage but don't know if you continue to do it. You just have to recycle the system like starting the car and if nothing happens, pop the trunk and flip the air ride switch on the driver's side behind the little door to off then on and that should recycle the system and you should be good to go, hope this helped. Should the compressor come on while the car is raised, it will blow out the bags since the height sensors will not operate. If the bags deflated completely while the car was raised, do NOT let the car drop all the way down to the ground. Support it halfway (near riding height; let the tires touch the ground and partially compress the bags/shocks) and let the compressor reinflate the bags. Otherwise older bags may pop and/or the compressor may cut out and give you a "Check air suspension" warning due to the 90 second time limit and the thermal protector.
