Does your 2001 Mazda millenia radio have preouts?

No the factory head unit on a 2001 Mazda Millenia does not have pre outs. You can easily make your own pre outs if you want to keep your factory head unit with a line output converter (LOC). The converter takes the wires from the back of the radio to the rear speakers and converts them into 2 RCA pre outs. Hope this helped.

When accelerating from 3rd to 4th gear the gears slip and the car stalls for a couple of seconds and the rpm's go high and the engine reves up how do i fix this to make the car shift correctly?

you have a few opptions first thing did you add or remove any tranny fluid? i have a 2001 Pontiac grand am 6 cyl. 3.4 engine. it has no dip stick to check fluid the theory you shouldn't have add unless there is a leak.but in my case my whole tranny pan was empty no spills no indacation of a leak.except that when in 3rd and pressing the gas it didnt seem to want to go anywhere or the rpms would reach around 3000 but once i reached 4th it would drop down to 1500 and rides smooth. heres some things you could do if you don't have a dip stick to check tran fluid then just unscrew a corner of the tran pan and see if you do in fact have fluid even if you do i would just empty the whole thing clean off the magnet on the inside of tran cover change tranny filter.they say add 9 to 10 us quarts that's way wrong its 7 us qrts trust me i listen and addsd 9 1/2 and my car ran worst so i had to redo everything and i added 7 us quarts and my car is driving pretty good even though i ran the car with no tran fluid for almost a month.it stills runs a little funny when i first start it up in the morning.if that doesnt work for you then your vacum seal may be blowen and it is not getting enough pressure that could be why your rpms are going so high and taking a bit longer to change gears.but make sure you have enough fluid DO NOT OVER FILL LIKE I DID but if you add the right amount you will see the difference i did. iam not a macanic or English teacher iam just a person trying to save a buck. i learned threw trail and error but i got my car running and running good so i hope i can also save you a buck to

Airbag light on 01 Mazda Millenia 3 long flashes and then 7 shorter ones so it is a 37 code what is that?

Code 37 is for the passenger's side impact module. This code is usually caused by a bad connection at the harness underneath the passengers seat. Usually disconnecting the harness and reconnecting it will fix it.

How many oxygen sensors does a 02 Mazda millenia have?

Depends on the engine 2.3 or 2.5.

My 99 2.5 has four.

Do yourself a favour here, these are a bear for DIY.

Just pay a shop to do this because even though your codes may indicate which circuit or bank, two of the four for my engine for example, share the SAME location code which means Either or BOTH could be bad.

PLUS if you think you can just swap them out to until you find the bad one, the act of putting a good one on the same circuit as a bad one can make your new one fail on testing.

Been there, done that, got a dirty Tshirt to prove it.

How do you change the front parking light bulb on a 1998 Mazda Millenia?

  • most recent post*

On a 98 Millenia it is actually very simple. Pop your trunk. If you look right on top of your parking light lamps you will notice some screws. Unscrew those and then you will be able to remove your parking light lamp. Replace the bulbs, snap the headlamp back in, screw it back in and then you are good. I was able to do this in less than 15 minutes and im no mechanic at all.

I tried. I failed.I paid ALOT of money to the dealer. The sleek look of the Millenia comes at a price. To replace the parking lamps you have to removethe front grill assembly, because as you havealready discovered, there's just not enough roomto access the lamp housing.

I succeeded ('95 S) it is a pain. There are three bolts to remove the first two are in front but the third is in back and you have to raise the car remove the inner wheel panel and angle the tire (or remove the wheel) and blindly place a socket on it - not easy at all,but it can be done - once you have the headlamp assembly off the car you can polish the plastic lens as well.

Where is the trunk release button on a 97 Camaro?

No owners manual, eh? If it is not located in the glove compartment, or in the center console, or by the drivers seat, or on the driver's door, then there is a very good chance you haven't got one. Yellow button on the under-slope of the dash just below the headlight switch.

What causes a code P0300 on a 1998 Mazda millenia?

P0300 Diagnostic Code - Random Misfire

Symptoms.
Engine may stumble or miss
Engine may be hard to start
you may notice no issues

Cause
Failing spark plugs or spark plug wires
Bad coil or coil pack
Failing oxygen sensor(s)
Bad fuel injector or more than one
Stuck exhaust valve
Bad catalytic converter
EGR valve or valve passage clogging
Bad camshaft position sensor
Bad PCM or ECM

The Fix
Best first action is a tune up, new plugs, wires, inspect all hoses and wire connections then reset the code. If it returns you will need to narrow it down to a system, coils and coil packs should be tested, catalytic converters for function ( do you smell rotten eggs?). A misfire that jumps cylinders could indicate a lean condition, do you have any other codes along with the 300? this will help clue you in to the source, check valve function to make sure they are opening and closing fully.
This is probably pone of the most difficult codes to troubleshoot, so start with the basics and work your way into the more expensive options, in many cases a good old tune up solves the problem, back it up with a fuel system cleaning and see where you stand.

How do you replace the headlight bulb located on a 1998 Mazda 626?

This answer applies ONLY to replacing the headlamp bulb, not the entire headlamp assembly. The work is done with the hood of the car up. It requires good lighting under the hood. Locate the 3-wire bundle that leads to the bulb; those wires terminate in a plastic connector that is attached to the back of the bulb. As you view the connector from the top, you should see a compressible clip on each side of the connector. These clips are somewhat recessed into the connector so locating them may require some study. Once you have located the clips, depress them with your fingers and withdraw the connector from the bulb. Both the passenger's side and driver's side installations are very confined so removing the connector may take several tries. With the connector disconnected from the bulb, remove the black rubber boot (cover) that protects the bulb assembly. You should be able to see that the bulb is held in place by a wire clip and the wire clip is held in place by a Phillips head screw. Study the installation of the clip before removing it (perhaps even draw a diagram) because it is not obvious how it goes back in place. Loosen, but DO NOT REMOVE, the screw. Squeeze the wire clip with your fingers so that the side of the clip not secured by the screw is released from a recess in the bulb housing (opposite from the screw). Install the new bulb by reversing the procedure outlined above.

In addition to the above, before you remove the 3-wire connector, you will save yourself much aggravation if you remove other parts that are blocking the plastic connector. On the passenger side, there is a small plastic radiator overflow tank. It is easily removed by removing the 2 Phillips screws that hold it in place. On the driver's side, you will need to remove a plastic air intake tube. It is held in place by 2 Phillips screws, as well as a hose clamp.

10W 30, 5W30 in >32 degree constant weather (winter up north). On a car that old, I'd go with something slightly heavier unless you've had your engine rebuilt recently - 10W40 would be smarter IMO

How do you replace the ecu on a 2002 Mazda millenia?

to get at the ecu(or pcm, as Mazda calls it) you pull the radio head unit. it is behind it. and it is IN there. the hardest part is to disconnect the wire harness's, which are BEHIND it, and really hard to get at. pry off the carpet by the accelerator, and you will see the connectors. it might be easier to pry off the connectors before unbolting the unit. removing it will test your mettle.
