the egr valve is located on the back left side of the engine. getting to it is easier from underneath the car. (up on jacks). I had the same thing on a 96 mx-6. we canged the egr boost solinoid sensor located on the air intake box

It kinda screws in and out its a half turn to the left. Righty tighty lefty loosey. They are located just behind the lamp housing and are connected to harnesses. Once you've turned them a half turn you can pull the whole connector and bulb out as one piece. Then just pull the bulb out the harness and plug the new ones in. It'll be harder to screw them back in but it can be done!

It comes from the jap-spec mx6 and other models there often on eBay for sale u also need the ecu to get the most out of it, there put out approx. 149kw

it is usually running about 8 or 9 pounds stock but if you get a boost control the most you can push is 15 pounds

I am not exactly sure on the 1990 model, but on 93-97 it is located on the transmission next to the firewall aprox 20 inches below the brake master cylinder. Remove the air cleaner, there is a diagonally positioned bracket w/ 2ea. 10mm bolts and a ground wire that must removed for access. It is held on by a 10mm bolt which is easily removed with a 24" extension and 10mm socket. The VSS is difficult to see and will need to be rotated w/ tools and a wire lasso to provide vertical lift. The removal process can take several hours and a great deal of patience.

Hi there , I have just changed the pressure sensor switch on my MX6 , it is located fairly centrally on the engine facing the radiator.There is a small wire that is routed across the alternator so it can be found by tracing that .I had to change the alternator and broke this by accident , you might have to remove the alternator to get to it first depending on the size of your hands and arms ,Mazda has the replacement parts and can be bought for a few pounds .Hope its helpful !!

The idle air control valve is located next to the throttle body. It is connected to the air cleaner hose on the top of the engine.

Resistor assembly is burned out (broken). it is located under the glove box. Its an electrical plug. buy another one or solder the plates inside it. to do that, u can break the plastic case, solder the broken plate, the super glue the case. If the problem occurs again. That is, the resistor assembly breaks again. Then you need to also change or recondition the BLOWER Fan. The blower is what the resistor assembly connects to, and it located under the passenger side glove box also. Over time the bearings in the blower get worn off, and it get harder to for the blower to turn and this causes the resistor assembly to burn out (break down).

the fuse box might be found under the steering wheel or in the glove box or in the under the hood where the motor is it should have a cover on it and you might have to undo the catches or screws depending on how they made the car
