On and '89 I believe it's #17. Iknow your's is a different year. If you have a manual it is in there though. If that doesn't work, (fuse not blown or doesn't correct it), check the connection of the plug at the fan. Still doesn't work, follow the wiring up to the next plug, it will be up near the right of th ebrake fluid resivor. Clean what connectins you can and try that. Still doesn't work, take the plug off the fan motor again and make a pair of jumper wires long enough to reach from there ot the battery. You'll need a couple spade receiver type connectors. put them on the motor and touch the hot & neg wires to the battery and see if the fan starts keep arms, fingers and stuff out of the way of the fan. I had this problem and messed with it & messed with it until I found the corroded connection at the plug near the brake fluid resivor. messed with thte thing for almost 2 hours before I found it. good luck.

Be advised that I own and service a 2000 Taurus 3.0L OHV engine. The low side valve is located at the rear firewall near the right side \ passenger side strut tower and has a black plastic cap similar to a tire valve stem cap. Stay away from the high pressure side which on my vehicle is at the front right near the radiator. Not certain but believe R-12 Freon was being phased out about 1992 and the new refrigerant is R134a. You need of course to know what your AC system requires, R-12, or R134a. Then appropriate charging kit to add refrigerant.

I have heard that there are things that only engineers can access in the memory of the air bag module, is that what you mean? The air bag module is located under the center of the dash, but it's not like you can, or would want to remove it. Here is the list of all the modules in the module communication network on a 2002 Sable: Powertrain Control Module(PCM), Generic Electronic Module(GEM), Restraints Control Module or air bag module(RCM), Anti-lock Brakes Control Module(ABS), and Remote Climate Control Module(RCC). That is all the modules that communicate on both the Standard Corporate Protocol(SCP) and ISO9141 networks on that car. On the 2002 Sable, They weren't using a Contoller Area Network(CAN) yet, so there isn't another network, or modules. If someone installed some other device after the car was sold, then there is no telling where you would find that.

There is no turn signal relay on this vehicle. The power goes from the turn signal switch to an electronic flasher located in the upper left side of the instrument panel. From there it goes to the bulbs.

Where is the computer module on a 2000 Mercury Sable?
I assume that you are reffering to the Powertrain Control Module (12A650). This is located on the firewall down from the passenger side windshield wiper. You can see the 104 pin connector comming out of it. I think I need the location of the chassis computer. I bought the car used and it has the keyless entry number pad on the drivers door. The manual says that if I know the factory code I can use it to open the doors, or I can change the code. I have no idea what code is in the computer, but the manual says the factory code is taped to the "computer module". Any Help on where this module is located?
