How do you change the right inner tie-rod on a 1993 Mercury Villager?

first remove the outer tie rod from the steering knuckle, then remove rubber/plastic sleave retaining clips carfully not to damage the sleave, turn the steering wheel to extend the inner rod outwards for better access to a point where you can get a open end wrench in there and unscrew. take out assembly. I suggest you replace the outer one also as its cheap. When re-installing be sure to put loctight on inner tie rod threads. It took me about an hour per side under the car. Be carfull not to damage the sleaves as the tend to cost more than the combined inner and outter rods at about $25 CAN each. Its not that difficult once the sleave clips are off, I used tie straps to secure the sleave afterwards. Total cost for inner and outer rods both sides parts should be under $100 US if you get made in china parts.
