you should always change the rotors aswell so you don't get a pulsation. firt you remove the wheel . then the 2 caliper bolts with i believe are a 12mm . then press the caliper piston back by squeezing them with a big pair of channel lock pilers or a c clamp. then remove the 2 caliper mounting cradle bolts which i believe are a 17mm them remove the rotor.

You don't always have to change the rotors. If the brakes are pulsing when you push them, take the rotors to an auto parts store and ask them to cut the rotors for you. This can only be done a few times, but it basically shaves off a level of metal on the rotors to make them smooth again. If they can't be cut, and you feel the pulsations, then you need to replace the rotors

Not unless you plan on installing a lift kit.

right above the crank timing belt tooth pulley. Remove the harmonic balancer the lower half timing belt cover and you will see it.

Just behind the battery, closer to the engine wall there is a black box. unlatch it from the from and all the fuses are underneath. And the explanation of what they are on the inside lid of the box cover.

The mass air flow sensor on an 02 lancer is located in the intake pipe, directly behind the air filter box. To get to it, you need to take out the air filter, undo some hose clamps, and some screw securing the sensor to the filter box. It's a bit tricky, and you'll need some pliers to hold the bolt ends that are inside the filter box. Only clean the sensor with mass airflow sensor cleaner!!!

Most likely a bad voltage regulator--on any vehicle. The regulator is supposed to control alternator field current for a charging voltage of 14.5 volts more or less, and may have up to 16 volts. More than 16 volts is hazardous to the electrical system (viz boiling the battery dry or burning out other components). (A fully charged 12-volt battery should show 12.6 volts at rest, the charging voltage with engine running is higher in order to push electrons back into the battery against that.)

Unfortunately, voltage regulators are virtually never owner-fixable (epoxy-encapsulated invisible mystery circuit board with no adjustments!) except to replace with a new one. The only good news is that they sell for around $10, compared to an alternator at about $200!

Mitsubishi lately has been priding themselves off of Rockford-Fosgate (which I enjoy in my 2008 GTS), but that's as the upgraded sound systems.

Most car manufacturers will go with the 'wal-mart duracell' route. When you buy a store name battery like wal-mart, they don't make it, they just contract with a major brand manufacturer so it can be made cheaper (but you won't know which one made it). The same holds true for car speakers. When you remove a speaker and see a Mitsu diamond on the backside of the speaker's magnet, don't be surprised. Just know they didn't actually make it. Although Mitsubishi might be a different deal. After all they make a superior quality HDTV (they made the 60 yard-long HDTV for the new Cowboys Stadium, after all), so you'd think they could make a good speaker. Just remember that a stock stereo is the cheapest of the cheap.

If you don't have an upgraded stereo, your speaker cones are most likely made of cheap-ass paper, which is what I've seen of my years of installing stereos back in the day. Anything over that can be considered an upgrade. As for brand, that's all user preference.

There are 2 fuse boxes, one behind the bonnet release under the steering wheel and one in the engine bay. The one inside has a fuse removal tool in the cover to assist in removing the fuses.

....... As is stated above there are 2 boxes, the one under the bonnet is simple to find.... But, the one behind the bonnet release catch is a real pig to get at.. At first I could not believe a fuse box would be placed in such an awkward position, but unfortunately its there... The only advice I can give is to find a small gymnast to remove and replace the fuses from the box......Good luck..

Some cost effective upgrades would be an air intake and upgraded exhaust. You can normally find good deals online.

The below is for the service interval light. The SRS (airbag system) needs to have the codes read and the problem repaired. You are dealing with saving your life you know...

As far as I'm aware this should work.

Press and hold odometer reset button. Turn ign key to "run" position. After the serv ice engine light flashes release button. Turn off ign then back on to confirm reset.

The rule of thumb is about 4 quarts, if you just changed your oil.

what you should do is add about 3.5 quarts, check the dipstick and add the rest if needed.

First you remove the knobs for the Temperature, Fan, and vent control, and u will see 2 screws, remove those. After removing, gently pry off the dash panel, exposing the bracket for the CD player. Remove the 4 screws (2 on left and 2 on right) and gently slide out CD player. Before pulling out all the way, disconnect the harness and the antenna cable. To put in another CD player, use the same brackets, just remove it from the old CD player.

under the hood, in the front towards the grill, under the headers...

Yea.... its sucks

It means there is a problem with the SRS (Supplemental Restraint System) or Air Bags. This is a repair for a professional.

The 2008 Mitsubishi Lancer-Evolution's engine produces 291 hp @ 6500 rpm.

Best thing to do is look at the sticker on the driver door jam or door and read the g.v.w

the gvw is not the curb weight, it is the max weight of the vehicle including passengers and luggage

the iat is located on the intake just before the throttle plate

passenger side, rear of motor there is a 12mm adjustment bolt on the alternator (top side)

Remove from alternator, not from the block. Directly underneath the alternator there will be a lock bolt (not sure size, either 14 or 15mm).

Remove completely, push alternator toward motor to loosen the belt, pull directly upwards to avoid shock tower. Flip sideways to remove wires.

Make sure to remove negative battery terminal. For easy access to bottom of alternator, jack passenger side as high as possible and be sure to use jack stands so the vehicle does not kill you. If it's not rusted, it should only take about 1/2 hour to remove and replace. should have lots of room in an ES.

Its slot 9 and size 15 fuse.or for slot should i say 2nd row down 3rd to the right!

the price of the 02 sensor. under 20 bucks. and about 10 min of your time.
