Other than the normal mechanical issues to check (low/no battery charge, bad starter, etc), you might want to double check the alarm system.

I had a problem where my 92 would not start on it's own with a full battery, not even engage the starter; but if you jumped it, it started fine. What we traced it back to was the stock alarm, it either had a short or some low voltage starter kill that kept the starter from getting juice.

Once I had the alarm yanked out for $150 the car reliably started, and I didn't have to deal with the occasional alarm going off and being ignored by everyone.

PS if anyone wants a stock 92 alarm give me ring ;)

How do you CHANGE CLUTCH in a 89 S-10 BLAZER 4WD?

If you're talking about the pressure plate and clutch plate, you need to remove the transfer case and transmission. If you have a substantial enough transmission jack, you can remove the t-case, transmission, and bell housing all as one unit. If not, you'll need to remove each component individually. Once you've got the bell housing off, you replace the clutch plate and pressure plate. While you're at it, you should replace the pilot bearing and throwout bearing, as well, and inspect your clutch fork for damage, and replace if needed.

Once you put the clutch plate and pressure plate back on, it's absolutely imperative that you torque them to specification. Once all that's done, you put the bell housing, transmission, and t-case back on, then reconnect your driveshafts.

Asked by Wiki User

Nope, im looking for it also but for a Datsun 280ZX Nissan and Datsun are the same thing, however if you have the Chilton's Repair Manual for the NISSAN Z&ZX 1970-1988(which you should) I believe it's number 52800, you can find the vacuum diagram in section 4 page 26 That diagram is for a N/A 280ZX and only for the emmissions. I need a complete diagram for a 280ZX Turbo, 1981. I have the Automatic Climate Control and it is a California model. Can anyone help?

How do you fix an engine with low compression in all 6 cylinders?

User Avatar

Asked by Wiki User

The repair depends on what is causing the low compression. Low compression can be caused by a blown head gasket, cracked cylinder head, burnt or damaged valves, worn or cracked piston rings, scored block cylinders. It's kind of hard to imagine that an engine would have low compression on all 6 cylinders unless something major is wrong, or the compression gauge is not measuring properly.
