The most I can tell you is that if you have the actual cigarette lighter setup in there, but it doesn't work, then who you bought it from probably disconnected the wires like my dealer did. He said it was because it was shorting out or something, but I hooked it back up and never had a problem yet, so...

If it is how I expect, then you can just pull out the casing for the cig. lighter and reach in with a pliers and start grabbing until you get it...Or you could take off the entire center panel to get to it which is a pain unless you've done it before.

Can't help ya with installing a complete brand new one if that is what you were looking for though, sorry.

I have a 91 that had the same problem. The problem is the lock out solenoid in the transmission. This can be accessed through the side panel of the transmission. Better yet, just un-plug it. Car will run run just fine without it. The wiring going to the transmission on the drivers side, pull the plug and you are good to go.

If it has excessive wear in the rack & pinion then rebuilding or replacement may be necessary.

i own an 03 concord limited. my dash lights except for the miles and transmission positioning go off. the come on and stay on longer the colder it is what is wrong with this car

There is a clip behind the handle. You remove the clip and the handle comes off, just remember they are a bear to put back on with out the handle removal tool.

mine was a bad 4x4 module, located behind the glove box, it wont go into 4 low or high

The light is on because there is a problem with the ABS. Have it repaired and they will reset the light. As long as the problem is not repaired the light will just come back on unless the problem is fixed.

You can usually have an autoparts (Autozone, Advance Auto, OReilly) store run a computer diagnostics to tell you the source of the problem. On my car the abs light was caused by the front wheel bearings (these contain sensors necessary for the abs system) I replaced these and the abs light went off. Be sure to find out exactly what the problem is first and correct that.

My 86 2.5 only holds 3 quarts with a filter. The filter is mounted upside down so to prevent the oil from running all over the engine I puncture the bottom of the filter so the oil drains to the pan and out.

The best way to be certain is to check the manual. You could fill one quart less than stated, run the engine enough to fill the new filter (~60 seconds) then stop and check the level on the dipstick. Add as needed.

The heater core is behind the center unit (behind the stereo, ac, etc.) hovering above the floorboard between the passenger and driver side. Take off the black heat shield. Open your hood. In the back of the engine cavity (the engine side of the heater core). You will see two identical pipes/stems coming out. Remove any hoses, etc. from the two pipes/stems. Now, it should just be a matter of wriggling the core loose from the inside. If you can't pull it from the inside, try pushing from under the hood.

if the engine is the Tech 4 four cylinder engine, look for the radiator cap thats between the front of the engine and the radiator. just follow the upper radiator hose.

I believe that has the DIS, distributerless ignition system, if so there is no timing adjustment. The timing is controlled by the ignition module, crankshaft sensor and the ECM (engine computer).

Try having some run a test using and OSB tester. Sometimes if the sensor is going bad it will show.

The fuel pump is located inside the gas tank. It would be best to have a certified mechanic do it for you. But, in a pinch there are two metal straps that actually hold it in. They anchor in the front, usually by apposing notches cut in the ends of the straps, and two 15mm bolts on the rear (of the car). First, disconnect the battery. Then, using a floor jack and a piece of soft wood, make the jack plate (with the wood as a bumper) touch the tank. STOP! Do not try to lift the car! It will collapse the tank! Open the filler door, and remove the filer tube's three retaining bolts. (They are actually screws, but they have a head on those, 6mm I believe) Some Olds have a rubber hose resembling a radiator hose that connects the filler to the tank, with in reach. Then you won't have to remove the filler tub through the door. But, I find it easier to just remove it anyway. (You would understand when trying to get it back together!) Remove the 15mm bolts. They are long! Be prepared to work! (About 3 ½ inches fine thread) After removing the bolts, you may have to bend the straps a little to clear the anchors on the front, (don't worry, you can straighten them back with a hammer) but completely remove the straps. The weight of the tank should be on the jack now. Be careful because the tank, if it still has gas in it, will be very unstable, (gas sloshing around in there) and may slide off the jack. There is roughly 6 lbs per gallon of gas, so even 4 gallons could crush your head! (Won't kill you, but it will hurt!) Now, slowly lower the jack until the top of the tank clears about 8 inches of space so you can work. The wiring harness contains anywhere between 5 to 7 wires. You will have to depress a lock to separate the harness from the tank plug. Then, you may have two or three rubber fuel lines that are clamped onto the metal fuel lines on the car. Remove the hoses from the car only! NOT THE TANK! (you will never get them back on with the tank going back in if you remove them from the tank.) That's it! Lower the jack, and slide the tank out. The new fuel pump will come with instructions to replace the pump. FOLLOW THEM TO A TEE! Remember when going back in, before you slide the tank under the car to re-install it, to replace the hoses and clamps. (Better to do it all at once!) You could also empty the tank while you have it out. It will be 100 times easier to put it back in. Also, fire precautions. Don't smoke! Other than that, it would take a lot to get the gas to ignite. So don't be afraid of using a hammer and a chisel when removing the pump. The metal that stuff is made of won't generate any sparks when hit. (Safety laws) just no open flames! The vapors are more dangerous than the gas as a liquid. Also, do this in a well ventilated area. A closed garage, in the dead of winter is a tomb in the making. The fumes will put you to sleep, and you will never wake up! Just be careful.

it is located under the coils and ignition modual it is mounted under it all, it comes out with the modual, and be careful if it has been there a while you may break it,

that will depend on the typy of lining on the brakepads and how hard you stop and how often but you should see around 40,000 mile on the front even longer on the rear if everything is correct

On some cars low brake fluid can cause it to come on. GoodluckJoe

If your brakes are very worn, it will take much more fluid to depress the calipers. This will significantly lower the amount of brake fluid in the reservoir which will trigger the brake light to illuminate. This happened to me and when I put on new calipers the light didn't come on again.

I had the same problem on my 1993 ES. All the rear light bulbs worked, but one was dim and the resistance was higher than the others. I replaced that bulb and that took care of the problem. No more dash light warning.

Its too old and you'd most likely have to take it to a mechanic to have them drain the old freon, which is illegal to drain yourself due to bad fumes for the atmosphere and they'll replace it with I believe RA12 or something of the sort. If the pump/hose is bad they'll have to replace that too to ensure no problems with the new freon. I'm actually about to do it on my '87 Calais here very soon.

Check the fuse box for the headlight switch. Possibly a relay problem or a burnt connection. Easy to replace - part available at most auto stores (NAPA, Auto Parts, etc.), depending on the make and model of your vehicle. check the contacts inside your headlight,interior and dash light switch (that is all one) and put some electrical gease in there so it make a good contact.
