How does inertia effect driving?

Like when your driving so fast and you hit a pole. Then your body fly's forward (hopefully your wearing a seat belt) and you hit your head on the steering wheel. The movement of your body still going when the cars stop, you still fly forward at the 70mph you were going.. just the car stopped going with you.

this also applies to lets say paint splatters. you move the brush so fast and then stop it before it hits the paper yet the paint still keeps going and splatters across the paper, leaving your brush.

How do you replace the turn signal switch located on a 1996 Oldsmobile Cutlass?

You have to pull the steering wheel...which means you have to disable the air bag, which means you should take it in. However, check all your bulbs first to make sure none are burnt out. Double bulbs in the rear lights need BOTH be working. Also, your turn signal flasher is located under the dash just beside your brake pedal (under the felt cowl, not the hazard flasher by the e-brake). Replace it if need be first. You can pop the little plastic face plate off your steering column by pushing the tab in front of the signal/cruise/wiper stem and get access to clean the turn signal contacts with canned air or a tiny (interdental) brush. This may clear up your problem. It did mine and I really hope to save you grief.

Can 26s fit on a 69 cutlass?

Keep in mind the '69 Cutlass came with 14" wheels. Putting wheels almost TWICE as big as the originals is just a bad idea. Even though you probably CAN cram them under there, you will most likely have clearance problems. The car will sit as high as a pickup truck but drive and handle worse than a pickup truck.
