Most parts on the 1998 through 2002 Olds Intrigues are interchangeable.

they are 5.25 inch round just replaced mine in a 99 intrigue.

Most of the later GM washer pumps are located at the botoom of the washer fluid container. You will need to remove the tank to get access to the pump.

Try the rear side of the radiator approx 1/3 down from the top

I was in the dealership for the p0410 readout, and I believe the mechanic had the air filter box off the car. I didn't really lock this in my mind, but I believe that's what I saw. But I too am looking for the answer. There is no Haynes for this car and so far I have only found reference to a Chilton's 'W' body manual for the Intrigue and other GM's of the era. The air pump is inside the front fender behind the drivers side headlamp. The best way to acess it is turn your wheel all the way to the right and pull back the plastic wheel well. Three nuts are on the top of mounting bracket. One is best reached from top. One electrical connection and two hoses. The 50 amp fuse and relay are in small fuse box passanger side of engine compartment. Top fuse and the bottom is relay.

The problem may be in the switch, to test the accelerate portion you need a multi meter. Remove the steering column cover to gain access to the wire connector for the multi switch. Test for continuity between the top left connector pin ( flat side of connector is down ) and the bottom right when the switch is activated in accelerate. If there is continuity the the switch is good and the problem is in the ASCD control module. If no continuity is detected then replace the multi switch.

With proper maintenance should last life of vehicle

Its either your cam shaft position sensor or the crank sensor.

It is inside the oil pan.. Lay down look at the oil pan you will see a cap that you have to remove..

Most likely the fuel pressure check valve in the fuel pump is going bad. That's not a really big problem, except the slightly delayed start you're noticing. You'd need to double check this with a fuel pressure gauge before replacing anything. I would recommend replacing the fuel filter, however. That is a maintenance item that's usually ignored. If you check the fuel pressure and it's okay after you shut the car off (should stay at least 20 psi), then take it in the repair shop.

behind left back wheel is where it is mounted. take off the plastic shroud under cas cap. remove from bracket, remove 2 hoses and 1 plug on purge solenoid.

The turn signal flasher is going bad. Pretty common. The part is available at most auto parts stores, finding the flasher module, and replacing it can be difficult. The manufactures like to hide them.

I haven't seen one lately, but most GM's require a power-steering pulley puller. You should be able to borrow one from a local parts store for a small deposit, or maybe buy one from an online auction site.

lower the engine from the car

I had the same problem. The mechanic replaced the contacts on the back of the ignition switch. It's been fine ever since.

Hi all, I own one so I know where it is. Follow the four inch air hose leading from the air filter back toward the engine. Looking at the van from the front the filter is on the drivers side. Just above the manifold you will see where the throttle cables attach to a cam like item. Look behind the throttle body and you will see a sensor like device with four wires. Just under that sensor you will see another sensor with connector that has yellow rubber seal. That sensor will have three wires. That is your throttle prositon sensor. Good luck.

Verbal description of the complete serpentine belt loop on a 99 Olds 3.5 V6 (probably the same on a 2000): Top of CAM to top of ALTERNATOR - bottom of ALTERNATOR to top of nearby (front) PULLEY - bottom of PULLEY to top of A/C COMPRESSOR - bottom of COMPRESSOR to bottom of CRANK - top of CRANK to bottom of middle PULLEY - top of middle PULLEY to bottom of rear TENSIONER - top of TENSIONER to back to top of CAM. Remember the serpentine belt has ribs on only one side, the ribs face AWAY from the two guide pulleys and TOWARD the pulleys on the Alternator, Compressor, Crank, Cam and Tensioner. You should tell by the pulley being smooth or ribbed as needed.

You cant just call the dealer for that, its why i asked this question, you need a code and i have found the codes for Pontiac but not Oldsmobile, there is also a number to call once you have the code. You can take it in to a dealer but all they can do is call for you and i havent found anyone to do for less than $80 bucks so im trying to do it myself there has to be a way . but thanks anyway

If looking at the engine directly from the front, the two large sprockets at the top are called the primary cam sprockets and both have mating marks that are punched on the engine block just above the rims of these sprockets. Another punched mating mark can be found all the way down below where the crankshaft sprocket is located.

At the end of the upper radiator hose inside the thermostat housing. Very easy to remove, just two screws.

Unless it's a 3.5, then it is attached to the housing, screwed into the pulley side of the front (right) cylinder head, attached to the lower hose, the bypass hose, and the coolant recovery tank hose.

It is located under the motor, front and center. To access it, you must get under the vehicle.

Olds intrigues have a habit of the heater/a.c. control head going bad. It will set you back about $600 to replace it.
