Persephone: to explain the changing seasons every year in Persephone being Queen of the Underworld while the plants die, and goddess of Spring on Earth during her ascension.

By Hades who got shot with an arrow by Eros or better known as Cupid which made him fall in love with her and because she ate pomegranate seeds which made her stay in the underworld for part of the year

Because while in the Underworld during her first stay with Hades she ate some pomegranate seeds. Eating them bound her to the Underworld, and she must return to it for half of the year, and is able to be with her mother and the living for the other half of the year.

Hades kidnapped her and forced her to marry him. While in the Underworld, Hades tried to win Persephone's affections. Eventually Hades tricked her into staying with him by offering her a tempting pomegranate to eat. The pomegranate is the food of the dead and if someone eats it, they would have to stay in the Underworld.

In most versions of the myth, Hades and Persephone never had children. However, some say that she did have kids: Macaria, Melinoe, Plutus and Zagreus. Some sources even say that Zagreus and Melinoe are not from Hades and Persephone, but from Persephone and her father Zeus. I am choosing to ignore those versions.

But generally, Persephone had no children.

Well . . . there was Adonis, but he wasn't her actual child. He was more of a foster son. Just thought I'd include it.

Hades/Pluto, god of the underworld. He captured her and made a deal with her mother Demeter that for six months a year, she would live with him, meanwhile Demeter wept in loneliness, thus creating winter. Summer was created when Persephone rejoined her mother and Demeter cheered up again. Hades tricked Persephone into staying with him by tempting her to eat 12 pomegranate seeds so that she would have to stay with him for 12 months a year. She knew if she ate anything in the underworld she would have to stay, but he convinced her and she ate six. Demeter was angry and then Zeus created the deal.

Zeus promised his daughter Persephone to Hades, so Hades could take her as his wife. However Zeus neglected to inform Demeter; Persephone's mother, or Persephone herself of this. So when Hades appeared to claim his bride, it was an act of kidnapping, instead of simply retrieving her.

AAliyah is dead. It is physically, not to mention psychologically, impossible to evaluate the possible plans and desires of one no longer living who died at 22. As far as is known she was never married nor had any children.

The story of Persephone is that she is a daughter of Demeter, goddess of harvest. Persephone wandered into the Underworld, and she ate 6 seeds from a pomegranate. Eating Underworld food makes you stay there forever. So, she had to. Demeter was outraged, and fought with Hades, ruler of the Underworld. So, eventually, they made a deal. Persephone had to stay in the Underworld for 6 months every year, for the 6 seeds she ate. According to legend, it is her visits, not the tilt of the planet, that make the seasons. With Demeter for summer, in the Underworld for winter.

It related to the gods to continuously explain the seasons with the accent of Persephone in spring and the decent to the Underworld causing winter.
