How do you remove outside mirror on 1998 Plymouth Voyager?

Go to your tool box, and remove the largest sledgehammer you have. If none available, the back of an axe or other heavy blunt object will do. Approach vehicle from the front, vectoring your swing with the line of the mirror. SWING HARD. Wash, rince, repeat.

If you look up from the bottom of the mirror there is a star head screw . Remove the screw and gently pull the mirror assembly away from the van, lifting up on the mirror slightly. Pull it gently until you see the wiring harness . Then take a small blade screw driver and pry on the tab at the bottom of the red connection tab to release the mirror's wiring harness from the van. Pull on the mirror wiring portion of the plug to separate it from the van. To reinstall mirror: Reinsert wiring harness; making sure the tab clicks into it's socket firmly. Then make sure the mirror slides back into the track. Press down gently but firmly on the mirror; reinstall the star head screw and you shoold be done. Happy Trails!

Location of cooling fan relay on a 2000 Plymouth voyager with 3.3L engine?

On the late 90's early 2000 Chrysler vans the radiator or cooling fan relay is a common item to fail and costs anywhere from 40-60 dollars at a parts store. The symptom you notice first is typically and overheating problem. Don't assume it is just a coolant level problem, because the water might have boiled out before you realized what was happening. If the relay has failed the fans will not work thus not cooling the engine. You can diagnose by simply visually checking if the fans turn on or not. The relay is the most common (and easiest to fix) reason for fan failure. The relay is typically located below the air duct on the front driver side screwed to the radiator brace/frame about 18-20 inches (About the length from elbow to finger tips) off of the ground. It is near the end of the radiator hanging vertical with the face of the relay aiming toward the passenger side of the van. It is about the size of a large processor chip or a saltine cracker (for the non computer savvy) with one cable plugged into it. You will likely have to remove the battery (maybe even the battery plate), unscrew the air vent and move it out of the way to make room to reach it from above. If you are dexterous you may be able to reach the relay from underneath the van. It has two small (try 9mm first) screws holding it on. Once the relay is loose it should be able to be dropped down and reached from below. Remove the relay from the cable by pushing the red lock sideways and then pressing down on the black tab before pulling it out with some medium pressure. The new relay attaches easily by pressing into the cable connector and then sliding the red lock back in place. Replace all of the removed items (the van won't start without the battery) and then check the relay by running the van and making sure the fans start working (It may take several minutes for the van to heat up enough the kick the fans on).

How do you replace the tensioner assembly on a 1996 Plymouth voyager mini van?

The pulley can easily be removed from the tensioner by loosening the bolt in the center. (the same one you use to loosen the tension to put the belt on.

put a socket wrench on the bolt (mine is 15mm) and loosen. once the bolt is removed the pulley will come right off.

tighten the bolt with the new pulley in place until the bolt pulls against the spring loaded tensioner. turning the bolt tighter will also loosen the tension to replace the belt. I found that threading the belt in place over the tensioner pulley first and then releasing the tension while I slide the belt onto the alternator pulley worked better because the wrench was in the way if I try to put the belt on the tension pulley last.

good luck getting it loose enough to get the belt on. two people would make the job a lot easier.
