The only way you can do this that I am aware of, is to by an after market pully for the vehicle, you have to unplug and remove the A?C compressor, and bolt the new pully/bracket to the engine blok in place of the compressor.
the ac control head needs recalibrated. to do this, start the engine, set fan to max, control to panel vents, temp to cold, the press and hold the top left and bottom left buttons at the same time until all light s come on. then release buttons and they will start to cycle around. the air will also change from hot to cold, up to down. Should last about 2 minutes. when done only one light should be flashing. press that button and you are done. If more than just the top left button is flashing at the end then there is a problem with the ac system

Oh my...I just happened to me 6 times in the last 6 months...same vechicle. My van is getting fixed for the 6th time@##0# 1998 with 124K perfect condition...well Ok not quite perfect but pretty close. This time the dealer might??? have found the answer. There is a short in the instrument panel.,it was drawing 9 volts instread of the normal 2 volts. I have spent around 6k in the last 6 months and abount to spend 1k more. The front speakers are located under the front dash panel. To gain access to the speakers you will need to take the side panels and the dash out, this is fairly easy to do. First grab the side panels near the top and pull, there are keepers holding it in and no tools are needed. Once you have one side removed go to the other side and pull the panel off. Next will be the dash and it is also held on with keeper clips. Start in the middle and pop the panel loose. At this point you should have the side panels and the dash panel removed. The speakers are held in place with Phillips screws.
