The Fiero 4-cyl 2.5L engine produced a peak-corrected horsepower of 85 at 4500 rpm, significantly lower than the advertised 92hp. per dyno-testing of a stock 2m4.

Addition of turbo/superchargers has increased effective horsepower up to 30% without compromising engine integrity.

Well fisrt off you need a new motor which about $150 or more new and just unscrew the screws holding it and unplug the eletrical plug for it

put the car on a lift and pull the front wheels off to access the plugs

The unit is at the front of the engine near the oil filler neck. Its a little cylinder with an electrical connection at one end and a pipe into the engine at the other.

The fusebox on my 1984 trans am is located under the dashboard on the drivers side, just behind the lever to pop the hood.

Check the Transmission for any stamped in numbers... there should be a pad with the VIN stamped into it to identify that Transmission with the car it was installed in.

There are also date codes stamped into the trans. This goes for both Auto and Manual Transmissions.

On '03-04 Vibe with automatic trans (not sure about other years and manuals), it is on the topside of the transmission. When looking down under the hood look down the backside of the engine (firewall side). The VSS sits near the edge/corner of the transmission slightly off center to the drivers side of the car. It kind of stands on its own. Its the only thing with a wire harness in that area.

Have the timing checked , sounds like it might be off.

If the 2004 Elantra is the same as the 2003, then it's a somewhat difficult and slightly confusing process.

Under the hood, the headlights are covered on the inside by a plastic cap. This cap is accessible on the right side fairly easily, but on the left side it requires removal of a plastic cover and probably the battery.

Twist this cap off, and you'll see the headlight, the plug, and a clip that holds it in place. Press down on part of the clip and wiggle it around, and it should come unhooked. Then you can move it out of place. The bulb is plugged into its plug still, and it would probably be easier to unplug the bulb before unclipping it. Either way, make sure you don't get the clip and the plug cord tangled, because it's difficult to get them untangled.

The bulb plugs and unplugs from the plug fairly easily, and it would seem that it could be plugged in either way and work right.

The car was not designed well, since doing this job is difficult, frustrating, and takes longer than it should -- longer than it does on most other cars.

Possible heat soak of the starter or the timing is set too high.

I don't think the 97 has a distriburetor.

There are two elements in every headlight. One is for low beam (normal usage) and one is for the high beam. The high beam element tends to burn out sooner than the low beam, and it is very possible that one of your high beam elements has simply burned out. The solution is simple. Replace the offending headlight and you'll have both high beams back.

try to ground them to the frame, they will run when the key is on, but i have been doing that for 4 years on mine

Remove the intake bellow, Drain all antifreeze in catch pan, Remove the Water hoses on the water pump....On each side of the pump there is 3 bolts 7/16 - 1/2....Remove those. make sure to catch the little water pump gear at the back of the water pump. It is tough to find one (very tough). (Put gear on new pump Make sure to line the gear up) install pump back on the way you took it off. I use the gasket sealer indianhead, It's the best stuff ever made....Put hoses back on and tighten them up...refill radiator...on the hose off the pump there is a screw (flathead)...Yu will need to loosen that up to purge the air out of the system...When you see a steady stream of antifreeze come out it is set....have fun takes about 1.5-2 hours total

its in the fuse box located under the hood, driver side.

buy a fit kit and wiring harness for GM. Check the years on the package to make sure it is compatible with your vehicle. it will come with instructions.

Depends on what parts you are trying to interchange. However, a very large percentage of the parts are interchangable. For the most part yes.

Could be a bad temp. sensor not telling the fan to turn on, or a bad motor. Try jumping the motor to see if the fan comes on. If not, its the motor.
