What is the code for a 2001 cabrio radio?
the answer code for the stereo and the nav is under the hood on the right side toward the front windshield. open the black fuse box and the codes are under the lid. ones for the radio code and the other one for the nav
The codes are only there if the P.D.I. technician put the stickers there. The code stickers should never be left in the vehicle. It is the serial numbers only, that should be left in the vehicle. The correct place for them is in the glove box, per Honda pre delivery inspection procedures. The code sticker should be on the code card and the second code sticker on the repair order for the P.D.I.
How do you get to the back of the radio in a 1993 Toyota pick up to replace the antenna?
You will have to remove the cover then the radio it self. I believe that the fender needs to come off to replace the base & mast on that model.(I could be mistaken) Then youll need to feed the wire back from the fender to the radio. Put it all back together, but make sure you get the fender in alignment so it doesn't catch the door. I hope i was some help, sorry if i was not.
Why would the radio stay on in a 1999 Honda Odyssey when the igition is off and the key is out?
It should turn off when you open the door, its a feature so that you can listen to the radio with the vehicle ignition off. If it is not shutting off at all there may be a problem with the door switches in which case you would have the same problem with the interior lights. Lastly if an aftermarket radio was installed then they may have wired it so that it would work that way.
How do you set push button pre-sets on an old style double knob 1978 Chevy Silverado radio?
On the models I've used (and maybe this is just an issue of word choice?) you do the following: 1) Select the 'station' or frequency you want to store as a pre-set by turning the right (tuning) knob. A) in older models, FM or AM doesn't matter, as the button is only "remembering" a position on the dial. B) in newer (but still push-button or 'old-style') models, the button will also switch between FM and AM, but each button remembers BOTH the band AND the frequency, but will not remember more than one station (I.e. The button wouldn't remember one station for FM and a different one for AM) on the same button -- except of course, if those two stations happened to be exactly the same linear position on the dial. 2) Pull the 'push-button' mechanism out towards you all the way (one click, usually) -- it may take a little more effort than you think or you way need to lift up slightly on the push-button to get it to move, especially if it's been a couple of decades. 3) Push the 'push-button' back in all the way -- the linear mechanism on the dial should not move at this point. 4) Test your new pre-set by moving the dial to the left or right using the right-hand (tuning) knob then pushing the same 'push-button' in. The linear mechanism -- if working properly -- should now move the dial to your new location and change the frequency to your chosen 'station'. On new (digital) radios in cars, of course, you tune in the band and frequency (and in some cases a 'bank' of presets [such as 'FM1', 'FM2', 'XM1' / 'SAT1', or 'AM1'] that you want to store then push-and-hold the chosen pre-set button (generally the radio will beep and / or flash the display and / or audibly re-tune the station once the setting has been stored) it may take up to three seconds in some cases for the setting to 'take' -- if you're having issues, hold the button in a bit longer until you get some sort of reaction from your radio and / or watch the radio's display to see if there is a message or prompt, as in many cases the radio may ask you if you REALLY want to change an existing preset, or the radio may need more information such as the 'bank' [again, meaning something like 'FM1', 'FM2', 'XM1' / 'SAT1', or 'AM1']in which you want to store the preset. Hope that helps!
Answernot sure if works on all modelsselect station and pull the knob fully. keeps memory.

How do you retrieve your radio code with serial number?
Applies to HONDA factory radios:
First: Check the owner's manual. If you're lucky, sometimes the dealer or former owner will have written down the security code number somewhere in the manual (inside the front cover, or on the page that describes the radio operation, are favorite places). Also check the interior of the glove compartment - sometimes the dealer will affix a sticker containing the radios serial number and/or security code, there. IF NOT: You will need to retrieve the radio SERIAL NUMBER. On SOME radios you can do this by holding down both the number 1 and the number 6 buttons simultaneously as you turn the radio on. If you have one of those radios, the serial number will appear in the tuning window when you turn it on. IF NOT: You will need to loosen the radio and slide it far enough out of the dashboard in order to read the serial number off the plate that is affixed either on the back, or the bottom, of the radio case. When you have gotten the serial number - either call the Honda Customer Service 800 number, or stop by your local Honda dealer and give them the serial number and they should be able to give you the anti-theft security code for your radio. WRITE IT DOWN SOMEWHERE WHERE YOU WON"T FORGET IT! This will happen every time the battery is disconnected or goes dead.
How can you listen and talk to police on your Ham radio in case of emergency?
With a standard Amateur license, you have no authorization to operate outside of
the amateur frequency bands, and if you're using commercial type-accepted ham
equipment, it won't operate outside of those bands anyway.
Public Safety radio services don't operate in the amateur frequency bands. You can
listen to them any time, with a 'scanner' that covers the police bands, but you can't
talk to them.
If you have a special license and different equipment, or if the local police want to
acquire ham equipment to use in emergencies, then that's a different story.
Can you use 8 ohm speakers on a 10 ohm radio?
Never haerd of a 10 ohm radio. There is no 10 ohm radio amplifier on the market, when you think that must be the output impedance of the amplifier. The output impedance of a radio amp is always less than 0.5 ohms. Scroll down to related links and go to "Voltage Bridging or impedance bridging - Zout < Zin"
What is the CAL ERR message mean when you turn on the radio on a 2001 Chevy Malibu?
radio internal error.. a dealer needs to send this out for repair.
"HDTV" is high definition TV, so naturally, it's easy to understand that "HD" radio
is high definition radio.
Except that it's not.
"HD" radio originally stood for "Hybrid Digital" radio. Now it's the trademark for
iBiquity's in-band on-channel (IBOC) digital radio technology used by AM and FM
radio stations to transmit audio and data via a digital signal in conjunction with
their analog signals. According to iBiquity's website, the "HD" is simply a brand
name and has no meaning. There is no connection with HDTV, although like HDTV,
the HD Radio specification provides enhanced capabilities over the old analog
format, such as 5.1 surround sound.
How do you remove a stock radio from a 95 Mazda protege?
on each side of the radion there is a cover you need to remove those and insert a FIRM wire through the holes that you see on each side. insert the wire that is u shaped through top and bottom, there are clips on the side of the radio that eed t be pressed inward so you add pressure to the wire outward and pull as you are pressing, this should release the clips. if you don't care for the radio, you can force pry it out cause those lips can be a pain in the butt.
New Method! If you take four 1 1/4" drywall screws and screw them halfway in to the four little holes, pull to the sides and slide out your radio! they are easily sturdy enough to push in the clips and make a great handle to pull the radio out with!
NOT SURE WHY DASH IS FLICKERING, BUT IF THE CLICKING SOUND IS LIKE A LOUD WIND UP CLOCK THE SAME PROBLEM I HAD WITH MY 91, AFTER IT WAS SERVICED, TURNED OUT TO BE MY BLEND DOOR ACTUATOR FOR THE AC UNIT. THE BLEND DOOR OPENS AND CLOSES TO LET HEATED AIR IN WHEN YOU ADJUST AC CONTROLS TO WARMER OR COLDER.THE DOOR WAS STUCK. TURNED OUT IT WAS A VERY BIG JOB TO GO INTO DASHBOARD AND CHANGE 10.00 PART, SO I JUST LET THE ELECTRIC MOTOR RUN ITSELF OUT, BEING THAT I LIVE IN HAWAII AND WILL NEVER USE HEATER. IT TOOK A WHILE BEFORE THE ANNOYING TIME BOMB CLICKING STOPPED AND NOW THE DOWNSIDE AND THE RESULT OF NOT FIXING IT IS, A HARD RIGHT WILL CLOSE ACTUATOR DOOR AND AC WILL ONLY RUN ON HIGH, ANY ADJUSTING TO A LOWER TEMP AND THERE IS NOT ENOUGH BLOWER FAN FORCE TO KEEP ACTUATOR DOOR CLOSED AND A HARD LEFT WILL OPEN DOOR AND LET HOT AIR INTO CAR CABIN, ONLY ANOTHER HARD RIGHT WILL CLOSE IT AGAIN. VERY ANNOYING.

How do you unlock the theft lock on a Chevy Blazer?
GM DELCO THEFTLOCK RADIO UNLOCK CODE:
1. Press and hold presets 2 and 3 for about 5 to 10 seconds until you
get 3 digits on your display. This is the first 3 of 6 digits you will
need, so write 'em down.
2. After doing step one and writing down the code, immediately press
the
AM/FM button to get the last 3 of the 6 numbers you'll need, and write
'em down. (if you wait too long between steps 1 and 2 and the LOC code
displays again, just start over).
3. Call this number, it's a prerecorded message, so don't worry about
having to talk to anyone...1-800-537-5140. The voice will ask if
you're
calling for Chevy, Pontiac, Cadillac, etc... When you here him tell
you
to press "2" for Pontiac, press 206010 (account number invalid; 11/25/2008) and hit the # key. He'll ask
you
for the 6 digit code that you've written down. Enter that and press
the
* key. He will then give you a code, and the option to get additional
4
digit codes, but one should be sufficient.
4. Follow the normal procedure in your owners manual for unlocking the
radio with your new code...press the hour set button on your radio
until
you get the first two numbers of the code, then press the minute set
button until you've entered the last two numbers. Immediately press
the
AM/FM button once the correct code is entered and the code SEC or
"secured" will be displayed on the display screen. Now, just turn the
radio on, and your ready to roll.
There is an additional step you can take to remove all codes from the
radio and start from scratch by entering your own personalized 4 digit
code so that it won't get you in a pickle again! Just repeat step 4
and
you should get a display screen that reads ---. This means the code is
out, and you can now program your own code. Of course, once you
receive
the 4 digit code from the GM recorded message, just keep it in a safe
place, because you can use that same code again and again should you
have any more problems with it in the future. Good luck, and yes, it
does work.

What happened to channel 103.1 Albany?
I'm trying to find this out too, it appears to be some republican talk radio now. very upset about this
*EDIT* WGY has taken over the 103.1 frequency and this is for good. Channel 103.1 is officially off the air due to low profiting over the years. Clear Channel believes WGY is more profitable if it airs on the AM and FM band frequency.
