The speakers in your car are the only thing that are Bose. The CD Changer is actually an alpine unit. The Navigation command unit is from Mercedes Benz, not Bose, or alpine. If you have a CD in the changer and you are getting an error, the problem is with the changer, not the unit. If you have a CD in the unit and you are getting an error the problem is in the unit.

Radio wire diagram for 95 Ford Aerostar xlt?
If you're looking to alter or upgrade the components then prepare to be frustrated. As far as I can tell each stereo option for the Aerostar had a different wiring harness. For example, I have not found and easy way to upgrade my regular stereo configuration to the "premium" option by simly adding the "equalizer" box. I have also tried to get information from 3 different Ford dealers and haven't found any who understand the system. They were able to provide various wiring diagrams, but they are all different harnesses and without modifications to the harnesses and connectors they don't support the various stereo options that were shipped from the factory. It appears that the intent was "factory order options only". Also, if you opt for a 3rd party stereo upgrade then you must rewire all the speakers since the factory design used a chassis ground approach which most 3rd party installers won't use. (so if you have to do this you might as well replace the cheap speakers too) You will also lose the rear speaker control functionality, as it must be bypassed.

Where are the radio codes for 2000 Mercedez-Benz SL 500?
unless MB has changed their policy...you have to visit an MB dealer with proof that you own the car and your driver's license...and of course the radio or s/n to the radio. It's much like asking for a spare key.
They usually make you fill out a simple form with all the info before they release codes or keys. However, if you can find a car radio shop with experience with MB radios, they might be able to help you.
This is a free service at MB...at least it was a few years ago when I needed their services. In any event, you're probably not that happy with the limitations of these factory radios. Everyone I know has replaced these expensive dinosaurs with digital upgrades which offer better sound quality, and all the modern features that are becoming a neccessity these days. There's nothing like a new digital tuner with a couple of hundred watt amps and some poly 3 way speakers...I love my JBL's.
I suggest you check out a local radio store and check some of these units out if you can...you'll be hooked. Remember, if you do decide to up-grade, hold on to the factory radio...keep it with the car. Its good for the re-sale.
Good luck.
Does the ignition switch have anything to do with my radio not working?
Possibly yes, but probably NO. In the "olden days," the "hot" wire to automotive radios were run directly from the battery or positive buss on a terminal block. The fuse was in that line, thus called an inline fuse. As the years went by and technology, and lots of people complaining of dead batteries due to leaving the radio on overnight, the industry installed fuse blocks, and some circuits [including the radio] had a "relay" installed so that when the key was turned off, the relay opened, disconnected all circuits and devices fed power off of that relay. In today's vehicles, there are many circuits and devices controlled in this manner, and there are usually a few different relays supplying them. Usually there are more than one circuit powered by a single relay, but few relays feeding only one circuit [power seat circuits being one example]. A relay is a switch that is controlled by a cooil being controlled by another switch which turns power on and off to the coil. The second half of the relay is an actual set of switch contacts that in turn turn on and off, to which is connectedm, via terminals, some device like the radio. If you study your owner's manual regarding what fuse supplies which circuit, you should find that there are other circuits being fed by the same fuse that feeds the radio. IF these devices that share a fuse with the radio, are hot and working, then that tells you that the problem is not with the ignition swith, which controls the relay. It also tells you that the relay is OK and functioning properly. Therefore, the problem causing the radio not to work lies somewhere between the output terminal of the relay, and the radio itself. Troubleshooting techniques will be required to check the connectors, wiring, and grounds to and for the radio. And finally, if all else checks out as OK, that leaves the problem to be within the radio itself.

Is there a way to replace the bulbs in the radio of a 98 silverado?
I just took my 2004 silverado to the dealership before my warranty runs out. The radio had a light out on the tuner knob and I had a light out in the dash behind the oil pressure. The dealership told me that the radio would have to be replaced and the dash membrane would have to be replaced. I asked them point blank about the radio light. They said "No way to replace the bulbs." I don't get it, but they replaced the radio under warranty.
Yes bulbs are replaceable. You need to track down the replacement chevrolet/delco bulbs remove the burnt out bulbs using solder and then reheat the solder and install the new replacement.
How do you tell what wires are for what for a radio on a 2003 trailblazer?
I tried to replace the stock radio with an aftermarket one. Here is what I found out. If your vehicle has OnStar, then the wires in the connector to the radio are not audio wires. They are DATA wires. There is an amp/processor in the rear of the car that delievers a signal to the radio. This is how the OnStar and audible car chimes work through the stereo system.
I talked to a couple different installers about how to do it and they said that you'll need to run new wires from the speakers to the new radio. Best Buy wanted over $150 to install it.
AnswerI have an aftermarket Pioneer CD player in my 2003 Trailblazer, the wire harness for the install is $70-$150 depending on where you go. I suggest having a professional install, it will save you a lot of time, money, and scratched knuckles. my Pioneer deck cost me $300, and the $150 it cost @ circuit city to have it installed was well worth the money in my opinion. They should warranty against theft for a pro-install. They will leave your RCA Preouts in the floorboard so you can run your amp if you supply the RCA cables and request them to do so. Mine had the Bose package so I stuck with my component speakers. Never let anyone tell you that you HAVE to replace the wiring, IF they do they couldn't find their @$$ with both hands and a map. If that offends you then sorry, but the truth hurts. OEM wiring is good enough for Bose so I say it's good enough for me.Why won't radio work when fuses check ok?
check the wiring of the hot and ground make sure that there is no broken wires if no broken wires radio is no good. Chedk behind your radio in the wiring, the positive wire that leads to the fuses often carries its own fuse on the line. Check that fuse. While your under there, check that all connections are properly connected and undamaged.

You need to be more specific. Where is the FM antenna on what? The FM antenna at a radio staion could be on a mountain. FM is called line of site transmission. Meaning, it shoots a beam , or wave, in a staight line to your antenna on your car or house. So, FM can be heard even if you are going through a tunnel, provided there are no mountains to block the signal. It is also called Frequency Modulation. AM is Amplitude Modulation. It is bounced up and down between the atmospere and the ground, until it hits your antenna. So, AM can even be heard if mountains block your signal. It simply bounces over and on top of them to your antenna. Where is your car?
Which modulation your radio stations are using now?
Hi,
Same as always. AM (amplitude modulation). FM (frequency modulation) and some FM's are now adding a digital component to their signal at the sacrifice of some transmitted volume.
Hope that helps,
Cubby
