What do you call a person who speaks on the radio?
If the person only reads what is given them, without remark or editorializing, then that person is an Announcer. If the person reads the given material and also adds supplementary material or personal remarks, that person is a Commentator. You may have heard on sportscasts the term Color Commentator. This is an individual whose job is to provide "colorful" vignettes of related information. Such as "John, few people know that last year, Frankie not only rushed for 1300 yards, but he gave a rousing performance in a local production of Annie Get Your Gun in San Bernardino."

In the 1930s US radio stations refused to play songs with what word in the lyrics?
There was not just one word-- there was an entire list of words. In the 1930s, America was very conservative. It wasn't just songs that were censored-- ideas were censored too. Radio network owners worried about offending the Catholic church (which was very influential) or offending southern (white) affiliates. Thus, radio stations were not allowed to mention birth control or family planning. They were also not allowed to discuss segregation or lynching. As for song lyrics, any swear words, even the mildest ones like "damn" were banned. But so were common euphemisms that might have a sexual meaning. In 1931, for example, a Boston station (WBZ) went on a "purity campaign" where songs the program manager thought might be about sex were removed from the air. And it's not so much that US radio stations refused to play certain songs-- the record companies themselves knew that it would be a problem if they released controversial songs, so they tried to release songs that were mass-appeal and unlikely to alienate the majority of listeners.

What did they advertise on the radio during world war 1?
Wireless radio became very popular during WWI as a source of news and entertainment. The invention of the wireless radio and newer smaller radios that were less expensive allowed more middle class families to own what was on a luxury item reserved for the wealthy. As radio became more popular, such as after WWI, it was able to be used as a propaganda tool for dictators like Hitler, who came to power a few years after WWI.
Could be the connector to the CD unit ( I had same problem on my XKR ) In the trunk take the side panel off surrounding the CD changer and check the connector that plugs into the car wiring loom. Mine had 2 corroded pins, I cut the wires and soldered jumpers across the connector.

How do you removie a 2006 Kia Sportage radio?
I have a 2005 Spectra...I have been told they are the same with removal of the radio.
First, remove the two screws located in the plastic trim, just above the clear lens of the speedometer assembly. These two screws are the only things holding the plastic in that goes all the way around the stereo and climate controls. Carefully insert a flat tool (flathead screwdriver) between the trim surrounding the radio and dashboard. The trim will easily pop off. Be careful not to break any of the spring action clips that hold the trim snug to the dash. Use a Phillips screwdriver to unscrew the radio from the mount you see, four screws in all. The radio slides out from behind the trim and you unplug two wires and the wiring harness. There's a little tab on the top of the harness that needs to be depressed. Once it's pushed in, this should slide right out and you are ready for a new stereo.

Why radio waves are modulated even though they have high frequency?
A radio wave is strictly a carrier of information. The modulation is necessary to convey the information, speech, music, data, etc. Sometimes a radio wave can carry information by its presence or absence. If the radio wave is present, it means one thing. If it is not present, it means another.
What is the difference between radio wave and x ray?
X-ray telescopes have to be sent into space away from the earths atmosphere and take in X-ray radiation into their multilayer mirrors and the ones sent by balloons are collecting the more penetrating X-rays but if its by shuttle they detect the softer x-rays. the x-rays are converted into a image. whereas the radio telescopes can be used from the ground as radio signals travel to the ground but they have to be huge massive things to collect the signals having a wide range and they collect the data in sound and make them into images by using the light from the universe.
What affects the speed of an electromagnetic wave?

How are radio television signals added to EM radio wave?
The process of adding information onto a bare radio wave is called "modulation".
It means changing something on the wave ... either its amplitude, frequency, or
phase, or actually turning it on and off ... according to a pattern that the transmitting
person and the receiving person have worked out and agreed to, so that when the
transmitting person makes changes to the wave, the receiving person can figure out
what those changes mean.
What radio operates between the frequencies of 3000 kHz and 30 MHz?
GPS
Lots of things use these frequencies. There is an amateur radio bad around 1250. Cell phones are around 1800 (and even higher). Microwave ovens are around 2450. WiFi is slightly higher. Bluetooth is in there, and a lot of point-to-point microwave radio links which are used by the phone company to get signals 20 miles or more without wires. Micro Links are also used by radio and television stations to get the signals from their studios to their transmitters (STL).
There could even be certain radar, radiotelescope, and satellite frequencies in that band but I am not sure of that.
What do radio waves bounce off?
Radio waves are reflected by many solid objects, such as wood, stone, and notably metal, allowing the use of microwaves in radar applications.
Also importantly in broadcast radio, the ionosphere (an upper layer of the Earth's atmosphere) can bounce signals back down to locations beyond the line-of-sight horizon.

The lower an electromagnetic wave's wavelength is the higher its frequency is?
That's correct.
When you multiply the frequency times the wavelength , the result is
always the same number. So when either one decreases, the other one
has to increase.
When was the radio first invented?
Many people have been linked with the discovery of the radio. Technically the first radio to be transmitted through electromagnetic waves was in 1980. Many others have since developed the strength and efficiency of the commonly known radio.
