What medieval word begins with the letter O?
I'm not sure what counts as a "medieval word". I assume that you are asking about an English word, not French or German or Italian or Greek, although these languages also existed in medieval Europe. I also assume you don't want a Latin word, although Latin was an important part of medieval culture everywhere, being the language of the Catholic Church. The word "medieval" can imply just about any time between 450 A.D. and 1500 A.D., over 1000 years. Over those 1000 years English changed so much it became a totally different language. Nevertheless, many of the English words from that time are English words today. Are you looking for a word which was a word then but is not now? Let us look then at a text written in 1380, Chaucer's Canterbury Tales. Here in the general prologue we find words like Of, On, Or, Onto, Over, Out, Oath (spelled ooth), One (spelled oon), Old, Oyster (spelled oistre), Order (ordre), Office (offyce) and Overest. Overest? It comes from the description of the Clerk: "Ful threadbare was his overest courtepy." A courtepy was a short cloak, which he wore over everything else; "overest" means on top of everything else or uppermost.
A relatively short composition in Latin, made up of short sections in homophony and imitative polyphony

Which Brueghel painting is Plath referring to in Two Views of a Cadaver Room?
The Triumph of Death, by Pieter Bruegel the Elder.
Rome is the place to which Dante Alighieri (Between May 22 and June 13, 1265 - September 14, 1321).
Specifically, poet Durante di Alighiero degli Alighieri was in Rome at the time of a change in government in his native Florence. He was considered to be on the side of the defeated White Guelphs (Guelfi Bianchi) opponents of the Papacy. Throughout the rest of his life, Dante was presented with unacceptable options - such as doing public penance, paying fines, undergoing house arrest - in order to end his exile. Because of his public criticism of the Black Guelph (Guelfi Neri) supporters of the Papacy and their successors in Florence, his sentence of exile ended up being upgraded to that of death.
The sentences were in effect throughout the rest of Dante's life. In 2008, the city council of Florence publicly rescinded the sentence against Italy's greatest poet.
In the Crusades who was involved?
Actually, the crusades were considered as holy wars. When the Ottoman Turks captured the city of Constantinople (which was the main place on the land route through Asia and Europe) it was considered of great religious importance for both Muslims and Christians. The Turkies had adopted Muslim religion so therefore the Christians were enraged. The Peopel pleaded the King and the feudal lords to take the city back. These wars were known as Crusades.
There were 3 notable crusades. In the third of these, King Richard of England, Emperor Frederick of Germany and another leader of which I do not know. Sorry, that is all the info i can give.

Discuss the influence of Renaissance on the social history of England?
Influence of Renaissance in England
London experienced a cultural and artistic movement in between early 16th and early 17th century which is known as the English Renaissance Period. The English Renaissance was much influenced by the pan-European Renaissance which is said to have originated in the 14th century in northern Italy. Often known as the "age of the Shakespeare" or "the Elizabethan era," the English Renaissance created stimulation in art, architecture, literature and music of whole of England. The transition in the England was accepted with reluctance and it was rather a medley of the forgotten Gothic and the naïve Renaissance.
No field in England was untouched by the revolution caused by Renaissance. The English literature was marked by the works of poets like Edmund Spenser and John Milton, playwrights like William Shakespeare and Christopher Marlowe and philosophers like Sir Thomas More and Sir Francis Bacon. Some produced works which explained the English Christian beliefs; some represented English thought on life and death and also covered the glorious history of London; and some printed their works on their ideas on humanity and on Utopian society.
Renaissance also had great impact on the music. From renowned ballads to church songs and sophisticated court music, many inventive steps were taken and the music during the Renaissance period had become varied and more delightful. The comedy and tragedy plays used music to make it livelier. A new school of music also developed in this period which was known as the English Madrigal School. The English Madrigal was either copies of Italian musical works or their direct translations. Mostly in three to six voices, the English madrigals were light in style.
Renaissance also influenced the architectural style of that period. Emphasis was laid upon symmetry, proportion, geometry and on maintaining the regularity in the architecture. Inigo Jones is credited for propounding Renaissance architecture in England. He had studied architecture in Italy, the country influenced by the Andrea Palladio who transformed the architectural style of both palaces and churches. He designed great buildings such as the Queen's House at Greenwich and the Banqueting House at Whitehall.
Even the style of making furniture was influenced by Renaissance. It cannot be denied that England was much influenced by the Italian style of art and architecture. Though Oak wood was used to make furniture but now apple, pear, chestnut, walnut, holly and pine were also used to improve the quality of the furniture. Earlier the ornate-furniture was only limited to the churches and ecclesiastical houses. With the improvement in the position of the citizen, English people also beautified their home with magnificent furniture.
However, many historians argue that English Renaissance was nothing but just a transition towards a modern world. They contend that English Renaissance does not level with the artistic achievements and aims similar to their Italian counterparts. The English literature had been seeing its growth since the time of Geoffrey Chaucer. Nevertheless, most of the historians still are of the opinion that there was an artistic flowering in London and other regions of England in the period between early 16th and early 17th century
This was a time when new ideas were introduced to Europe. Up until this time Europe was still in the backwaters while middle-Eastern Islamic cultures were flourishing with discoveries in science and math. The eyes of the Europeans were opened through the Crusades. This was the time when the minds of the people became more focused on H.S.I (Humanism, Secularism, and Individualism).
Europe was filled with plague and beheadings at that time, so it wasn't a happy place.
