Robotics

This branch of technology deals with the design, development, operation, structural disposition and application of robots. Robotics is related to other sciences including software, mechanics and engineering. Current robots have the capability to move and speak.

If a robot does the robot would it still be called the robot or will it just be called dancing?

It will just be called dancing because if humans do " The Robot" they wouldn't be an actual robot.

Is a limit switch an input or output device?

An input device. It is because it let the source to flow.

How robots work?

It works because of batteries.

How do you check IGBT with multimeter?

IGBT JUNCTION TEST PROCEDURE

1. Short out G1 to E1 and G2 to E2. With a multimeter set to check diodes, check across the C1-

C2E1 junction. With the (+) probe on C1 and the (-) probe on C2E1, you should see an open

circuit. Switch the probes. You should see a diode drop on the meter.

2. Check across the C2E1-E2 junction. With the (+) probe on C2E1 and the (-) probe on E2, you

should see an open circuit. Switch the probes. You should see a diode drop on the meter.

3. With a 9 volt* battery, connect the (+) terminal to G1 and the (-) terminal to E1. Using your meter

(set to check diodes), should see a diode drop across the C1-C2E1 junction in both directions now.

Connect the (+) terminal to G2 and the (-) terminal to E2. You should see a diode drop across the

C2E1-E2 junction in both directions here as well.

4. If the IGBT passed all of the above tests, the IGBT is good.

* You may be able to use a second multimeter as a voltage source by setting it to check resistance at its

lowest available resistance scale. The (+) probe is the positive side. However, not all meters provide

enough DC voltage for this, and may even give you false readings. A known DC voltage from 8 to 15

volts is recommended instead.

What is Set point tracking in process control?

By enabling set point tracking in a controller you make the set point of the controller track it's ( or it's downstream block's in cascade) Process value.

This is to enable a bumpless transfer when the controller is switched to Auto from Manual. Say, the controller is in manual mode and operator has entered X value to output and driven PV to Z. And Set point before switching to Manual mode was Y. Now when operator again puts the loop in auto, if the setpoint is Y , the loop will try to maintain that and there are chances that porcess may experience bump in doing that. So to avoid this the setpoint is made to follow PV (Z) so when the loop is again put to Auto SP=PV=Z. so no change in output. Bumpless transfer from MAN to AUTO.

This is achieved by connecting BCAL_OUT of the same block ( or it;s downstream block) to BCAK_IN to the same block ( or it's Upstream block).

What are laws of Robotics in IRobot?

The Three Laws of Robotics in Isaac Asimov's "I, Robot" are:

  1. A robot may not injure a human being or, through inaction, allow a human being to come to harm.
  2. A robot must obey the orders given it by human beings, except where such orders would conflict with the First Law.
  3. A robot must protect its own existence as long as such protection does not conflict with the First or Second Law.

Examples of Dependent and independent variables?

Independent Variables are changes that occur in an experiment that are directly caused by the experimenter (you.)

Dependent Variables are changes that occur due toindependent variables.

A Controlled Variable is anything else that could influence the dependent variables.

How do you attach a file with password to an email?

If you have Microsoft Word,

Select [FILE]

Select [SAVE AS]

Select the [TOOLS] drop down

Select [GENERAL OPTIONS]

In the "Password to open" box, type the password you want to use, you'll be asked to repeat it later.

If you don't want to buy Microsoft Word, you can get Open Office:

Select [SAVE AS]

Then check the "Save with password " option.

Open office is free, you can download it at "openoffice.org"

What is the operation of MAX233 IC?

this is connector chip used for asynchronous serial interface and its task is to make voltage level operative for next connected device.it is usually used in pc and microcontroller interface

What is closed loop mean as in vehicle?

Closed loop, as applied to engine control, means as control changes are made, some variable is measured to determine whether the setpoint is reached, or whether more or less adjustment is required. For instance, in a typical fuel-injected vehicle, when you first start a cold engine, lots of fuel is required to keep it running until it warms up. The computer simply dumps a predetermined amount of fuel governed only by engine speed, throttle position, and engine temperature. There is no point in trying to fine tune the fuel delivered at this point, since the mixture needs to be soggy rich just to keep the engine running. This is called open-loop control. Once the engine has reached operating temperature, the computer switches to 'closed-loop' control. This means the computer receives feedback from an oxygen sensor as to whether the mixture is too lean or too rich, then it makes adjustments, then checks the sensor again, then makes adjustments, and on and on in an infinite loop. To understand the principle, imagine if you were to close your eyes and type words on your computer keyboard. If you are a good typist, the words are probably correct, but you have no way to know if you made a mistake. That's open loop control. There's no feedback as to whether the desired result was obtained, you simply have to assume that the correct words are there. Now open your eyes. if you mis-typed a word, you now have the feedback that you messed up, and you can type in a correction. That's closed-loop, from your fingers, to the keyboard, to the screen, to your eyes, which control the fingers. See the loop?

How long will it be until robots take over the world?

robots will NEVER take over the world if they did they couldn't do anything to hurt anybody

Yes. Robots are used most often in manufacturing, including the building of automobiles.

How do you increase your talent?

"Talent" is all about Practice, Practice, Practice.

But you have placed this question in areas that are more about technology, in which case that's all about study and comprehension.

A four wheel drive of weight 25 kg with 500 RPM should have torque?

How much torque? I don't know. Should it have torque? Always. I have a motor that can spin close to 10'000 RPM, but I can stop it with my finger because it has very low torque. A good way to remember this is, the faster it spins, the lower the torque. You can increase the torque by using a gear chain to gear-up, trading RPM for torque. Gearing Down is the reverse.
