No way really. It could be swapped out. Sometimes it is marked on the registration papers, but there is no guarantee it is the same motor. Engines wear out and are changed.

Timing mark is on the flywheel (open up the green cap), timing advance needs to be set at 6 degrees BTDC using a timing light.

Working from inside the car, pull the cloth back from behind the light housing to expose a bunch of wires and a plastic circuit board. Circuit board is held on by a couple finger clips. Squeeze clips, gently pull on board and the whole works will come out. It will look like a circuit board with light bulbs in various locations. Press and turn to free your burnt out bulb. Take the bulb with you when you get a new one. No tools necessary.

Jack it up, remove the wheel, pry off the center cap, remove the cotter pin and nut, then pull the bearings out with the hub. Note that some trailer bearings are sealed and replaced as an entire unit.

ive always run all my cars 30 psi all round unless you are carrying rear passengers all the time then i would put 32 in the rears.

there is no t and its not 150hp its 125bhp

it depends on which engine the gti has. the 2.0l 8v has 115bhp and the 1.8turbo has 150bhp (180bhp anniversary editions) :)

Um, if you mean the venturi has oil inside of it, that means the valve seats are leaking badly, and backing up your oil up into the carb, do the spark plugs foul easily? Is it smoking, burning oil? Valve seats can be repaired, but you have to look at the entire engine, see if the rest of it is as worn as the valvetrain is, I'll bet the rest of the engine is on it's way out. Only thing I can suggest is to do a complete compression test, change your oil, look for metal in the old stuff, as doing a valve job isn't cheap, don't thro $ at it, unless your prepared to fix allot more, hopefully not. jr
