If you are asking if you can, the yes, if you are asking if it is difficult, yes again, if you are asking how, you have to disconnect the motor from the transmission and lift the motor so you can get to the turbos(on the bottom of both sides of the motor), and replace them from there.

All of the new beetles have a slide inside the engine compartment on each side by the fender,push it down and then you have to slide the light assembly out it is quite long so don't think you are doing anything wrong,then you take the lens loose and change the bulb,do not touch the bulb with your hands use a cloth or paper towel.If you touch it it will cause it to blow faster.when you get the bulb replaced put the lens back and then you have to get each side of the part you slid out back in the channel to push it back in position.There is a slide on each side of the part and on each side of the hole you are putting it back into.When back in position then push the slide back down inside the engine compartment.

round ones < really funny... Tire choiceis important, cheap tires are no bargain. Get quality tires that fit the area you live in. If you intend to drive in snow and ice get tires rated for that. Hopefully your old VW gets to stay warm and dry inside a garage and only brought out when the weather is nice. In that case get summer tires, they really grip the road better than the all weather tires. All the top of the line tire manufacturers make good tires- stay away from the cheapos!

THERE IS A SMALL SWITCH UNDER THE BRAKE PADDLE THAT SUPPOSE TO TRIP WHEN YOU PUSH ON THE BRAKE TO ALLOW YOU TO SHIFT. I BELEIVE THERE IS A RECALL ON IT. BUT YOU CAN ALWAYS TRY TO CLEAN IT USINF WD40

One is for oil pressure. The other is for the alternator. And if THAT light comes on, for God's sake get to the side of the road and shut the engine off NOW!!! The cooling fan for your engine is bolted to the end of the alternator shaft, and the most common reason that light comes on is that your fan belt broke. No belt = no cooling = no engine.

The fuse box is located under glove compartment. However, if there is desire to access the bulb and fuse on the climate controller, twist and remove the knob and it should be connected at the back.

Make sure you have a good battery with full charge as these VW electronics are very tempermental to voltage. If you are able to start the car and it dies in a few seconds you should see the immobilizer light flashing on the dash. Turn the key on to the run position and leave it on for about 30 mins or so. the light should stop flashing then your good to go! This works 90% of the time. if it does not, then you have to get it flashed by a VAG scanner that is either the dealer or independent shop with the correct equipment. If you have an extra key, you should try it as well if the first one does not re-learn.

It is located inside the car, front passenger side, in front of the door, below the glove compartment, behind the floor carpet, along the side kick panel. Once you pull the carpeting away from the side, you'll see it.

You probably have a leak in the hose/line that takes your transmission fluid to the cooler (in the radiator). Look for the small tubes/hoses that run from the engine to the side of the radiator; the leak is probably in the area where the metal tube meets the rubber hose. Good luck!

The amazing thing about writs are that if the debtor doesnt produce the car when served, they are then in contempt of a court order. Surely you know what that leads to. You can reset the check engine light by disconnecting the battery of 20 seconds. This does work but you will need to take the vehicle to your local delear to have the ECU memory bank cleared. if the codes still appear after a memory clear it will then indicate a fault.

Ok, I went to the mechanic and he told me he had replaced a contact that makes sure a valve in the carburetor closes. The contact worked intermittently so hence the problems. (I live abroad and don't master the language quite yet. I think this is what he explaine d me).

Alrighty then ... The three bits of tape originally held some felt like material that is meant to sit in between the window regulator and other parts of the inside of the window like the bar from the quarter window. It does this in order to create a buffer between the regulator and the other bits so as not to obstruct the path of the regulator. When the path is obstructed the regulator wont operate properly. Moral ... replace all worn exterior weather stripping !
