Your Beetle is 7 years old and the rubber hoses get old just like your serpentine belts. Cracking and stretching means it is time to replace your hoses. Your Antifreeze should be replaced every 100,000 miles and the water pump should be checked at the same time. Also your timing belt should be replaced around this time. The Anti freeze is only available from your dealer so do not mix your anti-freezes. This could cause severe cooling problems. Since you didn't say where your anti-freeze is leaking. I would check your oil for signs of water. Make sure your coolant reservoir is tightly sealed. Distilled water can be added to get you to a VW dealer but this will affect your cooling system if you add too much. Never open the radiator always add fluids to the reservoir only

You can change it yourself.. not really that hard.. Open the hood then look on the engine side of the headlight. There is a black cover that removes by moving the clip. Then remove the wire from the bulb. next, there is a metal clip. It is a little hard to get the clip off but once you get it off it is very easy.. Just remove the clip then take out old bulb and replace.

Here's a little information about this.
1. Most often miss understood is programing. Programing the button REMOTE portion of the key is simple and referred to as matching.
You do need 2 keys. You must be able to lock the drivers door and have the red led alarm light next to the lock button blink. If it does not blink, the alarm does not know the door is closed and will not go into matching mode. Put one key in the ignition switch, turn on, do not start engine. Close the door, use 2nd key, turn door lock and hold in lock position for 10 seconds. Release key to neutral position.
Press a button on the remote, within 2 seconds press the same button again, the turn signal lights will flash,
this indicates your remote matches the car system and is now recognized. Unlock door remove key from ignition.
So don't pay extra 99 cents to $5 for these instructions in hopes of getting the KEY to function with the car.
