The headlight bulb on a Volkswagen Polo can be removed by grabbing the back of the headlight bald and pushing forward and turning at the same time. The bulb will come out. Reverse the process to install the new headlight bulb.

It won't, even a mixture of gasoline and diesel will not work.

May I add that running petrol in a diesel will destroy that diesel engine.

Changing the timing belt on any car is a comlicated procedure and is not recommended if your not sure what you're doing, if done incorrectly you risk destroying the engine, i recommend a garage

I need to change the spark plugs on my 1.2 lt 52 Polo, but I can't get the plastic cover off Answer: It is very easy. Grab front and backside of the plastic cover and pull hard. It might feel like you will break the cover, but you will not. Note that underneath the right hand side of the cover you will find at hose that is clipped on to the block of your engine. It might be a good idea to unclip this before removing the cover. Use a flathead screwdriver. F

Very simple , the breather system has clogged up . The moisture caused by cool running temperatures does not get drawn through the air box & burnt . This leaves water building up in the cam cover area . You then find this yellow / white / shite brown mayo looking gunge . Short winter journeys are the biggest vause as the engine never gets hot enough to drive off the water . The gunge can also cause pressure to build in te engine & force oil past valvew stem seals & you burn oil , stuffing your catalytic converter . At worst the engine runs dry of oil & all the bits stop very suddenly ( oh dear ! ) . If i remeber correctly the seperator sits at te back of thehead & has a hose that joins the airbox . Clean them all out , amke sure the mesh in the seperator is shite free as it can build very quickly if you only wash away the mayo . better still replace the seperator & clean out ALL of the mayo . THEN enjoy a long drive to really heat up your motor & drive off the remaining moisture in the engine . Oh and make sure the thermostat is working , if the engine takes for ever to get hot & very little heat is felt with the blower on full , you will always get mayo , vauxhall & hilmans were prone to this malady ( Now i am showing my years of experience ) BUT check the breather system first , it si the easiest to get at / clean & check out

I'd check your alternator. Disconnecting the positive terminal while the engine is running will tell you. If the engine dies when you disconnect the battery, it's your alternator. If it keeps running it's something else, like your battery. I had the same problem.

Yes you should inspect your brakes and if you feel a lack of performance from your front brakes then take the wheel off and measure the pad thickness. Also check the condition of the rotors. If the car isn't pulling to one side while braking and you don't feel pedal vibrations during normal braking but you feel a decrease in brake performance get new pads. Your question does not ask how to so I wont bother answering. For future reference everyone please give more info in your questions.

Low oil pressure caused by low oil level, defective oil pressure sending unit, or defective oil pump.

I have a 2003 TDI all the bulbs at the front are a pain, easiest way is to go to Halfords buy the bulbs and pay the £3-4 pounds extra for fitting. Otherwise, for headlights loosen expansion tank for offside, move battery for nearside, same for main beam. Side light bulbs in comparison are a doddle.

It is behind the fuel tank, if you lie on the floor and crawl under the car from the rear you will see it, towards the middle of the car, resting on the fuel tank, a cylinder with two hoses, one at either end, secured with a bracket.

# Disconnect the battery. You don't want to pop the airbag accidentally. They are expensive, and if you are sitting in front of it when it goes off it will hurt. # Remove the four Torx screws holding the airbag to the wheel hub. # Lift off the airbag. Be careful not to stretch springs and wires. # Disconnect the airbag and horn connectors. # Pry the circlip off the steering shaft. # Unscrew the big nut. # Use a steering wheel puller to get the wheel off. Remember the position, it's important. # Use a lockplate removal tool to depress the lockplate. # Pry off the lockring.

You should be looking at the turn switch now.

Go to the brake cylinder reservoir open the cap, this will release any back pressure in your break line when you compress your piston back in place. after you remove the wheel, three's going to be two bolts on the inside of the brake caliper. if i can remember right they should be half inch bolts...take them out and the caliper assembly should be able to be pulled up and off. slide out the old brake pads, and then use a pipe clamp or some sort of clamp to compress the piston on the caliper. don't go too fast or you'll get brake fluid everywhere just go slow and compress it all the way in. then put on your new pads, slip the assembly back over the rotor, and tighten the bolts back in, but put some locktite thread glue on the bolts, or they might vibrate loose. tighten down the bolts and you're done. hope this helps

Take a peek at the washer bottle in the engine compartment.It should have two little pumps that set into it.This shows that both the windscreen, and rear wiper get their fluid from the bottle in the front.
