The Fuses are under the hood in the small drivers side compartment against the firewall. The battery is in a similar compartment on the passengers side. The fuses are not standard fuses, I've never seen any like these so I'm not sure where you would find replacements. Note: There is a clear plastic cover that protects the fuses.

We just changed our battery in a vita master 149. It takes 2 AA and you lift out the grey plastic module that contains all the numerical readouts. Turn it over and you will see the battery cover.

You will want to replace a brake light switch on a VW Polo professionally. You do not want to make a bigger situation than you already have. A mechanic will do the job correctly.

Open the drivers door, on the side of the dashboard there is a removable panel, its behind there.

1 bulb blown 2 fuse blown 3 open circuit in reverse light wiring 4 bad earth contact on reverse light 5 reverse light switch faulty 6 indent in gear box fault causing switch not to operate.

3rd fuse on top of the battery from your right hand side(red). but be warned you will not have ABS, Power Steering, engine management warning light will be on.

Unlock the cap first by inserting key and turning it all the way round to left (lefty loosey!) then release cap by turning it anticlockwise and voila! If you do as my girlfriend dooes don't bother relocking it and save yourself any later panic!

You can find a fuse box diagram for your the W in the back of the owners manual. Newer vehicles will have the fuse box diagram on the inside cover of the fuse box.

1st. If you intend to do any work on this car at all you need tools and a good repair manual. Spend the $20.00 bucks for a manual at autozone and read read read.
