I have an 07 Equinox and for me to replace mine, I had to pull off the trim surrounding the radio. The trim also had the buttons for the windows and temp controls. I used a thin flathead screwdriver and pryed upwards below the gear shifter and evenly pulled out on the trim. There wasn't screws just clips. Then remove the (4) 9/32 screws holding the radio in and slide the radio out, unplug the harness and antenna and install in the reverse direction. I switched mine with one i bought off the internet but it came up displaying LOCKED and now I have to go to the dealer and get it unlocked.

1. Press and hold presets 2 & 3 for about 10 seconds until the first 3 digits of the display code are displayed.

2. Write the numbers down.

3. Press the AM/FM button, write down the next 3 numbers.

4. Call 1-800-537-5140, when asked, enter 620529, press the # button and enter the 6 digit code from the radio, you will get an unlock code, write it down.

5. Go back to the car, press the HR button and set the first 2 numbers, then press minute button and set the next two last numbers, press AM/FM button, SEC should be displayed, turn on radio.

To remove customers code, repeat step 5. you should see --- on radio face, the code is now out of the radio.

Yes. Both should have throttle body fuel injection. It should be a direct bolt in.

Check the transmission fluid level. If it is ok, then the filter may be clogged. If not, then it will need to be taken to a transmission shop.

Most likely it's the fuel pump, but check the fuel filter first, it may be plugged up.

Chevy's just twist out while pulling. Fords are the same . but to put it back in you have to bump the motor until it falls in. Kind of a pain to set timming. But usually you hold it where the #1 spark plug is and it will fall into place. It's a two man operation.

don't go buy a 16gig mp3 player and a FM transmitter then you can play any music you want all you have to do is pick a FM frequency like 98.9 and set your FM transmitter and radio to that and your done. cool thing about this set up is when you arent using it in your vehicle then you can take it in the home and use it on any stereo in your house.

It looks like 2005 was a transition year between the 4L80E and Allison 1000 with 6.0 engine. Sounds like 4L80E was typical, but easily upgraded to Allison at time of ordering, but also depending on packages and equipment.

If it has an external filter it is the Allison, otherwise it is 4L80E version.
