I am so sorry this happened to you and I blame your husband! He knew it was wrong, and your niece is probably much younger than him and he should have had more control. I had the girl move out and my hubby and I tried again until we moved back to Vancouver, B.C. Nothing had changed as I soon found out and he kept on cheating. I left him and never looked back. I met a wonderful man and we have will be married 34 years this August. This is your decision, but, as you know your husband carrying on with your niece is taboo and the word is going to leak out to family members. If it were me, I'd kick your husband to the curb, kick his butt out the door, file for at least a separation until you can think clearer and then hopefully, later, file for divorce. Well, it sounds like you've taken a lot of your energy to get to this plan of yours by not talking and thinking of committing sepukku. Think again! You're wasting your energy! Unless you are mute, there is no reason you can't talk to each other and one of you has to start, so since you're the one on the board why don't you start talking to your partner? If we don't make mistakes we never learn a blasted thing in life. It's like a baby learning to walk. They fall, they roll, and they waddle, but they get back up! They do it until they get it right! So, if a baby can do it, what the heck is wrong with you? Life is about falling and getting up and dusting yourself off and doing it until you get it right. It's about listening to others and opening your eyes up. You have actually became anal retentive in life. I am not trying to put you down, but it appears you are stubborn and a matter-of-fact person and are missing out on your partners feelings and not stopping to express to each other how each of you feels. When you do decide to do this you will be truly amazed how you can work through your problems and come to some middle ground where both of you are happy.
