Feeling guilty about breaking up with someone is not a good reason to stay with someone (although there are worse reasons). So, even if you know yourself well enough to know that you will feel bad about being the one to initiate the breakup, you must do it anyway. Trying to engineer a way to have him break up with you is as duplicitous as it is cowardly.

Thats the problem with love. You CAN make you love stop. By just programming yourself you dont love him anymore or even better start hating him.... But is this what you really want.. Because other then explained above. Love is a very strong tool to overcome everything.
Just if you really want to stop you from loving him because of... just imagine him doing that what you dont like or even hate about him. Example: if you know he is cheating on you, imagine him cheating.. Love will end... But it will break your heart as well...

In ways it's best for you it ended this way as you are both young and there are so many choices in life for both of you as well as it sets you both free to experience many things in life, go to college and get a better education or work on your career or business venture to travel to different countries. These things may not seem important to you now, but trust me, they are. Your heart is breaking and you have some good memories. Don't sit around and mope but get out with friends and try to have a little fun. Life can have twists and turns and you just never know, sometime in the future you could meet again and get back together on a more serious note.
