I believe it is the 4L60 which was orignally named the 700R4. But it was renamed when the 4L60E was introduced.

My 92 PA did the same thing. Either the crank or cam sensor can cause this. Both sensors are needed for the computer to fire a spark plug at the right time. It seems to occur after the engine warms up. When it cools down it will start again. The computer error code should show which one is bad.

On almost every engine it is in the side of the valve cover. It is a 2 to 3 inch long plastic part that has a 3/8ths hose that connects to the intake manifold.

Depends on severity of leak

small seepage leaks for the first time will seal for about 2 to 3 years, after that a mechanical repair will be required, if sealent has been used some time back it wil not work

With the torque converter about 11 quarts. without about 7 quarts.

I have Park Ave. It may be the same. I removed the headlight assy and then had adequate access to change the side bulbs. This assy can be removed by removing two thumbscrews. Hope this is the same for you.

Do you have the correct size tires/wheels on the vehicle? Look on the driver's door post or in your owner's manual for the correct size. Incorrect size tires will effect the accuracy of the speedometer. If you are running the correct tires then the vehicle speed sensor (VSS) may need replacing.

The relay is in the relay box in the engine compartment. It's on the firewall on the passenger side. It's under a black plastic cover. The relay is about 1-1/4" inches square and 1-1/4" inches tall and black..Under the cover will have a diagram of the different relay locations.

Look under the back seat. You'll also find the battery there. I believe there's a fuse box under the hood close to the alternator.

The fuse panel is under the rear seat. The window fuse is in the #57 spot. It is a metal fuse breaker and is larger than the regular fuse. Should be a 30 amp though.

I HAVE A DEFECTIVE UNIT IN MY 97 LESABRE (GM PART NUMBER 25642556) When my mecahinc retreived it it comes down under the dash over the right side of the flat "hump" on the floor About 4x4" square,black plastic and has the part number clearly marked on the outside cover Found a used one to replace it on line for about $40....$220 MSRP from a GM dealer Bob Habbeshaw 813-966-2027

Bulbs or turn signal flasher, maybe even the switch.

Try disconnecting the NEGATIVE battery terminal wire for about 5 minutes, that probably will do it.

Your passlock security is activated. Many things can cause this. 1 or more of three things. The key chip is bad, the ignition cylinder that reads the key is bad, or the TDM (Theft Deterrant Module-computer that reads the info) is bad. All of which can shut down your vehicle. Check your fuses before anything else. Easiest and cheapest fix.

Hi... I also have an EGR valve on a 97 LeSabre that turns on the engine light [[emission code = P1406]], but engine still runs smooth. Thus, am going to wait to replace it.... a little while AND check it out via shop manual in local Library. Cost of AC-Delco EGR w/pintle position sensor is ~$150... + gasket. The EGR valve is on the drivers side of the engine... and has a thin solid panel behind it (on side toward interior of car)... and it has a 5 wire connector going into it and is connected with 2 bolts. Oh, it is BEHIND the long(side to side of car AND wide(front to back) engine cover --as mentioned on the drivers side at(behind to the driver) the bottom left 'corner' of the engine cover [[looking from the top down on the engine as if lying on the roof and having hood removed]] To see what it looks like see this site: http://www.rockauto.com/ref/SMP/SMPDetail2.html?EGV466.jpg ---unfortunately, site shows just the unit from the side instead of from the top or on an angle and it is by itself instead of in the engine compartment. Ah yes, to replace, have engine off; remove 5 wire connector, remove the 2 bolts that hold it to the exhaust manifold, remove and replace gasket... and you probably want to check that the is NOT carbon blocking (even partially) the port)... if there is stuff a rag down into the port to prevent carbon dropping down into the manifold and use a shop vac as you wire brush or? chisel? the carbon away. After carbon removed, clean particles of carbon with shop vac from area so when remove rag, nothing gets into the manifold opening. Put on new gasket, new EGR, torque the two bolts to recommended amount; reconnect 5 wire connector.... and you should be ready to drive. good luck... f.

the fuses are in the fuse box. Look in the owner's manual for the fuse box location ---- Inder the hood, passenger side, under the black cover that says "fuses"

Le sabre in French means "the saber" or "the cavalry sword" in English.

The 2005 Lesabre has the blower motor mounted under the dash. It is under the glove box on the firewall behind a panel.
