How do you replace the driver side mirror for a 1999 Camry?
The tweeter speaker is held in by 2 of the 3 nuts that hold the mirror on the car. Remove the nuts with a 10mm socket wrench. The tweeter speaker has a couple of inches of cable, set it to the side. The 3rd nut is located in the door jamb under a rubber cover, remove the cover and then the nut with the 10mm wrench.
The mirror base is attached to the outside of the car with black weather caulking, rocking the old mirror body a few times should loosen it.
The interior door panel must be loosened (maybe removed) as the cable runs about 4" under the panel. There are screws under the armrest, 2 at the base of the door panel, one under a tab in the door handle, one under a cover a few inched below the tweeter speaker. All are removed with a mid sized Phillips screwdriver.
The mirror power cable goes into the door about 4" under the plastic weather seal. Pull back the plastic and unplug the power cable. The entire old mirror assembly can now be removed. Insert the new mirror and run the power cable as the old one was run and plug it in. It is a good idea to test the power to the mirror before closing up the panel.
Reverse the steps, reseal the plastic on the door, reinstall the door panel making sure the panel seats properly into the window channel. Push ithe mirror into place (seal if a seal is not provided the way the mirror was originally sealed against the outside of the car. Tighten the 3 nuts to hold on the mirror, remember to reinstall the tweeter speaker in the mirror post. Reinstall the tweeter cover, it just pops back into place, hook in the bottom and line the post up to the hole and pop it in.

How do you replace the water pump on a 1993 Buick LeSabre?
You need to take off the mortor mount on the the side that the water pump is on. There are two bolts on the top of the mount and two on the side of the mount be care taking them off so you don't break the bolts use a lot lubication. Put a jack under the oil pan with some kind of board on the jack for support. Kack up the engine for easier access to the water pump. Then take off the bolts holding the pump on clean off the old gasket.
AnswerI just did mine on a 92. I could not get the mount out because there is not enough room to slide it off the stud from the block. After cursing all American cars and their engineers, I noticed I could swing it to the right to get the pump bolts out. So, although you have to remove almost all the mount bolts, if you still can't slide it out, try sliding it to the right. I also jacked up the front of the motor until the power steering punp tank touched the cross member bar. Really not that bad - about 3 hours.Oh Yeh ! autozone.com has a great site having instructions and pics on how to do it.
This is a pay back post. I couldn't have done this without what I found on the net !!!!!

recent problem found on a 97' Buick la Sabre 3800 ser II pcv valve was missing. the intake was replaced with a aftermarket upgarde. note a stuck pcv will also cause this problem as well as a vaccume leak in the lower intake gaskets (port to crank case) back to the pcv .. the pcv is located on the passanger side upper pletum (intake) in a twist lock cap with a manifold psi sensor on the top of it. to check the pcv valve remove it and shake it.. ir should rattle if not replace it for that matter for the price replace it any way note the o-ring on the bottom of the pcv valve it dose not come with a new valve match the size and diamiter any o ring will work.
this car came into my shop for what sounded like a serpentine belt squill. but infact what was happing was the engine was under serveir vaccume and was causing the rear main seal to go dry and suck vaccume past the lip seal. dry seal and engine rotation was the noise.. i you out and maby others also..

It is located under the dash board on the drivers side. You will need a flash light, zip cord for re-installation, a long non metallic rod 1/4" dia and a wire hanger. Bend hanger straight and make a little hook on end. Remove turn signal fuse located at fuse box under driver side dash. Lay on floor with flashlight on drivers side. Look above fuse box it is located above it about 10" it is round and silver. Use rod to push off clamp. Now use hanger to retrieve flasher unclasp and install new flasher. sounds like the heater fan bearing is full of crud or worn out. a bump in the road is enuff to shake it loose from where it is stopped and make it go agin
AnswerAlso the electrical brushes sometimes get worn down or stuck to where one of them does not make contact with the commutator. A little bump or sometimes just a change in temperature will free the brush just enough to make contact again. This will only last for awhile. The fan motor will eventually fail to start permanently.Where is thermostat located in 1989 buick lesabre?
Follow the top radiator hose to the top of the motor and it should be fastened to a housing. The thermostat is inside this housing which comes off with two bolts. You may have to buy a gasket for this housing when you purchase the thermostat.

I couldn't figure out how to add all this so I am doing it in the answer section:I have a 92 Buick LeSabre. Car is warmed up and you come to a stop, sometimes when you accelerate from a stop the transmission is 3rd gear when it should be in 1st gear. Got the DTC from the computer
24 Vehicle Speed Sensor(VSS) Circuit
31 Park/Neutral Switch Circuit
I replaced the VSS with one I got from the GM dealer, changed fluid/filter, cleared the OBD codes but the problem came back. I got the codes again this time only the 24 code.
24 Vehicle Speed Sensor (VSS) Circuit
So to summarize, after driving for a while the car is nice and warm I am stopped at a traffic signal. Upon accelerating the car is in 3rd gear and is very slow to get up to speed due to the gear ratio. The problem is intermittent. For some reason the transmission is stuck in 3rd gear and did not return to 1st upon stopping at the light. So I have already replaced the VSS sensor, fluid, filter. This has not remedied the situation. Any thoughts??
92 Buick Lesabre. Sometimes when you accelerate from a stop the transmission is 3rd gear when it should be in 1st gear
YES!!! It is very important to ALWAYS bleed the entire brake system anytime ANY component is removed because air will be allowed into the system. Air in the system will cause poor brake performance and or failure. Start bleeding at the wheel farther-est away from the master cylinder and work toward the master cylinder. Usually in this order...RIGHT REAR/LEFT REAR/RIGHT FRONT/LEFT FRONT.
Do not worry if no air comes out from some of the bleed screws but be sure to bleed each wheel until fresh fluid flows out. Keep a constant check on the fluid level in the master cylinder while bleeding the lines. DO NOT LET THE MASTER CYLINDER RUN OUT OF FLUID!!!! If the master cylinder runs out of fluid it will allow more air into the system and you will have to start all over. Follow these guidelines and you should have SAFE Brakes with a good pedal feel.
One other note: Most Brake Fluid will damage Automotive Paint. Have a bucket of soapy water nearby and if the Paint is touched with Brake Fluid from your fingertips or any other other source stop work, wipe off the Fluid, and wash the area with soap water. It only takes a minute or so for Brake Fluid to damage paint.
