I found that a wire to the ignition switch was broken where you put your key in . this did not let the chip be read . and the security kept flashing.and car would not even start. after repairing the wires it started up perfect. hope this helps

I have a 2000 LeSabre and always was supprised to find water in the drivers side floor after a rain. One day while waiting out a thunderstorm, I looked for the leak. I found water running out at the bottom of the door, behind the door panel. I looked for a drain hole in the door, and could not find one. (The water inside the door has to come out somewhere, I just couldn't find where!!!) I then looked at the weatherstrip along the door post behind the mirror and found the weatherstriping was wrinkled. I straightened up the weatherstrip and have not found any water for about a year. First you obviously have to remove the door panel...Take out the screw in the door hande (inside), pop off the plastic screw covers at the bottom of the door and remove the screws (there are 5 screws) and the 2 screws inside the pocket for the door handle, remove thepower window switches by prying up with a flat end screw driver and diconnect the plugs,then give it a tug and it should pop loose and lift up over the lock and remove the panel. You'll have to remove the speaker for leverage. It's best to use 2 people, one to hold the glass and the other to remove the bolts. It's easiest to remove the bolts on the motor first just leave one to hold the motor up out of the way while removing the 2 bolts in the glass. Drop the window down until you can reach the 2 bolts holding the glass to the regulator then lift the glass all the way up out of the way. Remove the 4 bolts from the regulator then the last bolt from the motor and remove the 2 pieces through the larger hole towards the back of the door where you reached in to remove the bolts from the glass, this may take a few minutes trying to maneuver the regulator and the motor out but it will fit. If you're using the same motor just unbolt it from the old regulator and bolt it onto the new one. When putting in the new regulator it's usually easiest to get thre motor in first and get the first couple of bolts in to hold it in place. The rest is just doing the opposite of what you did to take it out. Just make sure to tighten the bolts of the motor onto the regulator if you changed it or it could put a bind on the cable and ruin this regulator too.

If you are trying to get to the water pump bolts behing the mount, you only have to move it to the front.

Support the engine from below or on top with a bar. I used a 4 x 4 x 8' wood beam and coat hanger wire to the alternator mount, lifting the engine and placing blocks on the metal in front of the radiator to hold the plank high enough.

There are 4 bolts, 15mm holding the frame side, a long bolt thru the mount (remove this), and 3 bolts to the engine (remove all). Can not remove, but can slide it forward enough for water pump access.

Hey I own a 1995 Presidential, to remove the dash I know as far as the front plate that trimes out the radio and controls is mostly clips that u can pop out but first there are Philips head screws in each vent. If u look at the top of the vent(inside the vent) at the top u will find a screw. After you take those out , it's clips on the top of the dash, u get the top to pop out pull firm but with caution. Then u tip the top away lifting it up and the bottom, it lifts right out. when u go to put it back in place use tape such as electrical or masking tape. Tape over the screw hole in the inside of each vent pop the screw in the tape to help u put the screws back in. Good Luck!!!

P.S.Shift on the column in 1st, and tilt your steering wheel all the way down to finish getting it out.

First, you'll need to remove the wood trim from the dash. It is held in by a series of clips, so it's just a matter of carefully popping the trim out. Once the wood trim pieces are removed, next you'll remove the vents from the black trim of the dash. Turn them all the way to one side and pull as best as you can. They will pop out (although you might need a screwdriver to wedge in behind if they don't come right out). Removing the wood trim and vents will reveal approximately 10 (don't recall the exact #) torx head screws. Remove those, and then you can remove the black dash panel (you might need to shift the car into neutral to get the panel out). Then, the radio will be exposed. Remove the two remaining screws and then the radio. The plugs clip in and can be stiff to remove. From there, connect your new radio (if it's factory, just plug it in) and then reassemble the dash.

All you need is a Chilton's manual to trace the location of the vehicle speed sensor (VSS) wire, which goes to your ECM. Find the wire, clip it and splice in a toggle switch to your dashboard, then run the wire back to the other side of the wire you snipped. Switch off, the VSS is disabled and probably, you will get a computer code or some check engine light that will come on. No big deal, after you do the dirty deed of speeding above and beyond what all of us disapprove of, just switch your toggle back on and POOF! Your VSS works again! (Sorry boys, I'm a gearhead...) The 1988 Buick Skylark 2.3 liter engine serpentine belt tensioner pulley is held in place with a single retaining bolt. The retaining bolt will be in the center of the pulley. Remove the retaining bolt.

Raise wiper arm up off the windshield. Pull the little metal tab and rotate the catch out that holds the arm up off the windshield. Then pull on the base of the wiper arm and wiggle it up off the splines.

The 2001 Buick LeSabre rear shocks are held in place with a retaining bolt on each end of the shock. Remove the retaining bolts and the old shocks will come off. Reverse the process to install your new rear shocks.
