To replace the fuel pump in your 1991 DeVille, you must remove the Fuel tank. 1. Always be prepared for fire and wear eye protection! 2. Disconnect the negative battery cable. 3. Relieve the pressure in the fuel system (Remove the black plastic cover between the front valve cover and the throttle body (7mm), there is a fuel pressure test port on the drivers side front fuel injector rail, usually has a black plastic cap. remove the cap and it works like a tire valve. use a rag though, it usually splatters). 4. Remove as much fuel as possible from the tank through the filler neck into a suitable container. 5. Raise at least the back end of the vehicle and support with jack stands. (you will need at least 18" for the tank and exhaust system, plus whatever you will be supporting the fuel tank with). 6. Disconnect fuel sender wires, tank filler and vent hoses. Note; be prepared to plug the fuel pipes as you disconnect them, gas will drain out! 7. Disconnect fuel pipe connectors by squeezing the plastic tabs of the male connector and pull apart (if the connector is full of dirt, twist male connector ¼ turn in each direct inside the female connector to loosen dirt then blow out with compressed air). 8. Support the fuel tank with a floor jack and un-bolt the retaining straps. 9. Remove the ground strap from the exhaust system (10mm) and lower the exhaust by disconnecting the rear muffler hangers. 10. Remove fuel tank. 11. Remove the fuel sender retaining ring (sheet metal ring about 4" in diameter with 3 vertical tabs) by twisting counterclockwise ¼ to 1/3 turn (if you do not have the proper tool you can use a Brassdrift punch , to minimize sparks, and a hammer). 12. Once the sender is out, disconnect the wires from the pump and pull off the nylon screen (if torn or plugged, replace!) 13. Push the pump towards the hose to disengage the mount and pull to the side to remove. 14. Inspect all of the rubber parts you will reuse, replace now if any are cracked / damaged. 15. Check the baffle plates in the tank (they are notorious for breaking and if they are, your fuel gage will be unreliable). If they are broken, they cannot be repaired and the tank must be replaced. 16. Re-assembly is the reverse of this procedure. Be sure to use a new sender to tank o-ring and make sure that all three tabs of the fuel sender retaining ring (sheet metal about 4" in diameter with 3 vertical tabs) are resting on their stops. 17. Start engine and inspect for leaks.

What is Computer Command Ride?
You probably mean "Command Line."
The command line is a way of interacting with the computer by typing text based commands, rather than using a Graphical User Interface (GUI). Instead of using a mouse to double click the icon of a program, someone using the command line might simply enter the name of the program, and have it run.

How do you change the cluster in a 1988 Cadillac Sedan DeVille?
You have to remove the dash upper pad and the lower dash trim under the steering column. The shift indicator cable clips to the steering column. You dont need to remove all of the wood trim around climate control, etc. Only the small section under column and the plastic lower panel that is dash colored.
There are 3 dash pad screws in the defroster grille, one in each a/c vent. (carefully pry the 4 vents out from each end) There is also one, if not two screws going straight up into the dash just to the left of where it says "cadillac". They are accessed through holes in the top of the glove box liner. The screw requires a 7mm or 9/32 socket on long nut driver or ratchet and extension. Be careful disconnecting the in car temp sensor directly behind the word "cadillac". Once dash pad is out of the way there are 3 cluster screws and 2 holding a black trim bezel located directly under the cluster face. The cluster has to tip towards you to in order to allow the PRND321 indicator to clear the dash. Be sure the dental floss like cable is unclipped from the steering column shifter collar first. This applies to all 1985-1993 FWD Deville, Fleetwood, and 60 Special.
I believe it lubricated the engine, and also increased the octane--someone told me up to 20%.
How do you replace the water pump on a 1996 Cadillac DeVille?
To keep from messing something up, get a manual from AUTOBOOKSONLINE.COM
take off top and bottom radiator hoses at engine. remove bolt from "dog bone" on engine side and flip forward for access. remove belt cover. remove belt. remove four bolts on back side of water pump housing (side with water neck for hose). remove water pump back plate. GET SPECIAL TOOL FOR WATER PUMP REMOVAL, looks like a giant socket with teeth or a castle turret(about $20). this socket fits over pump from inside of housing, go through the back side where the back plate was. 1/4 turn to remove pump with pully attached and pull out through the back. remove and replace o ring that will still be in housing where you removed pump. install in reverse order of above.
1992 Cadillac DeVille drivers side window is off track how to fix?
there are several Phillips screws (3 under the window switch pannel, one by the door handle and then one behind each lamp lense in the pannel. )after you remove these the pannel should be pulled off being careful to pll right on the clips. they will make a snap sound, but they shouldn't break. if they do , the local parts store will have replacements (tell them you need "Christmas tree fasteners" they should know what you are asking for) there is a pressure clip that goes in the hole in the upper left corner of the window. this clip normally breaks causing the window to come off track. get a new clip from Cadillac and install it in the hole in the window. lower the track down about half way with the switch and slide the wheel on the bottom of the window into the track and then snap the pressure clip and window into the rear side of the window channel. test the window before installing the door pannel to insure proper travel. if all is good, then reinstall the door pannel and you should be back in business. hope this helps -Jake

Will 20 inch rims fit on a Chrysler 300?
24 inch rims will fit on a 300. I myself own one and put 20"s on it. U need to know the bigger the rim the thinner the tire. Which gives u a much higher chance of getting flats from potholes and worse driving conditions in the snow. Also with tires too thin the ride becomes stiffer with every bump.
What is the spark plug gap on a 2003 Cadillac deville?
Caution! Gap is not adjustable on certain plug brands
What is the normal coolant temperature 1997 cadillac deville?
The system can go to 245 or 250 degrees with no problems on a high demand, heavy load situation. It's designed to work that way. With a 15psi pressure cap and 50/50 coolant mixture in the system the system will not boil until 265 degrees. The Northstar engine has a "loss of coolant' limp home mode that will activate automatically long before you get any thing hot enough to damage a head gasket or anything. The loss of coolant limp home mode is so effective that it's been proven time and time again to run the engine for 50 miles at 50 MPH without any coolant in the system without any engine damage. So you (and your engine) are protected even in your worst nightmares of an overheat or something. It will allow you to drive to a safe place even with all the warnings and chimes going off without any risk of damage.
Forget what used to be normal for coolant temps on older cars. The systems are more efficient at cooling running at the higher temps, the engines are happier and are cleaner (for emissions and internally), get better fuel economy and last longer running at the higher temperatures. The cooling fans are only activated at 225 degrees or above so anything below that is considered ice cold by the engineers that designed the system. There is no need to slow down, pull over and idle or do anything out of the ordinary regarding the cooling sytem. Drive it and quit worrying.
Service the cooling system every 5 years or 100K by draining and refilling with fresh 50/50 DexCool/distilled water to keep the corrosion inhibitors in the coolant fresh to prevent any internal corrosion. That's what causes blown head gaskets. Lack of cooling system maintenance over the long haul.
Ground the motor housing on the new motor and see if it works then

Where is location of speed sensor on 1996 sts cadillac?
It's located "inside" the transmission, under the tranny's side-cover. It's labor intensive because you must lower the whole engine/transmission cradle to access it. Side-note: @ the dealer, $1,200 labor & $30 part. Sucks, don't it. If you're mechanically inclined, it can be done, just add part, tools and patience. Oh, and a tech manual.
