IF -repeat- IF this Camry has a security ignition and has a "chipped" ignition key (i.e.- big thick plastic on the handle), then placing the key in the ignition should over-ride the disabling function. If you have no such key (i.e.- it is a replacement without the transponder chip in the handle) you will need to take the VIN number to either a well equipped locksmith or a Totota dealer (the dealer will charge you WAY more). If the Camry was not equipped with the security ignition in the first place, then the dealer should be able to tell you how to get around it. Good luck.

Kept happening on my own Mondeo. In the end removed the horn in the boot. Later found out it was the bonnet switch. Either replace it or give it a good going over with WD40. Worth a try.

yes it could.... that's the whole point.... someone steels your car and unless they can shut the alarm off correctly the car won't start...

Yes . You may need to look at the ignition switch (key). There is a wire that can break (wraps around the cylinder) and in the early stages will cause the car not to start. Common with the VATS system. This wiring is close to your air bag deployment and the proper sequence for disarming it must be followed. also a steering wheel puller will be needed to remove the steering parts that will be in the way.

easy enough to check. pull a spark plug and lean it against the exhaust manifold. if there is no spark and the engine has no problem turning over, vats system would be the second thing i would check. push the stem in on your schreader valve and make sure you are getting fuel pressure.

^^^^ first thing to check is to take a dry rag or your shirt and clean the little VATS chip built into your ignition key... if its dirty or wet it wont start your car...if the chip is old and worn it wont start your car.

There should be a switch down on the left firewall, where your left foot sits while driving

"pull out the fuse" This is a great answer if you don't want to be able to start up the car again. When the integrated alarm system is going off it will not allow you to start your car or unlock the doors. A quick Google search will tell you that many Acura Legend 91-93 models owners have had this same problem, among many others. Honda usually makes a good car but this is not one of them. Best advise is to not own one at all.

To answer this question, thou I cannot take credit for it, is to locate a gold color box under you drivers side dashboard, you'll have to take off the bottom half of the dashboard to get to it. Once you locate the the gold colored box you should see to wire harnesses attached to it, take both off. On the bigger of the two harnesses you'll find a black wire with a yellow stripe on it. You need to ground this wire and the car will function normally.

Also remember that anytime you're dealing with an electrical system of a car be sure to disconnect the negative battery cable to prevent any accidental shocks.

The easiest way to disable the 1998 Chevy Lumina factory alarm is to remove the factory alarm fuse. The factory alarm fuse can be found in the fuse box.

put key in ignition, turn to on position, reach down to flashing light button and hold down until light is a steady red.

pull out the fuse for the alarm and that will disable the alarm then just start it up Try unlocking the drivers door with the key, there should be a switch on the back of the key cylinder to turn alarm off.

Up under the dash there should be 2 fuses connected to wires. If you pull the fuse on the red wire, the power for the system, it'll disable it. I haven't completely removed it so I couldn't comment on it.

One reason is because of the wind or that your door is constantly open or open for a long period of time

shut the door lock and then unlock it again if this doesn't work on ur model leave door open unlock trunk...

To turn off alarm after it sounds you can do one of three things.....unlock doors using remote key fob, insert key into doorlock and unlock drivers door or insert key into ignition switch and turn. To re-arm the system, (it's passive), close all doors and lock them. The alarm with arm itself automatically 30 seconds after the last door was closed and locked.

To turn off the car alarm on an Acura use your key to unlock the driver side door.

You need to send a single pulse on the unlock wire. I forget what color it is. Xs need a double pulse to unlock.

on my 93 u press door unlock on remote or with door open use door lock switch to lock doors close the door

We got it off had to move the battery around in the remote keyless entry...then the doors unlocked and the car will start now...Thx anyway :)
