Don't know. What are the symptoms. I'm having the same trouble right now, and I have replaced too many parts to list. There are good answers on www.astrosafari.com

-rotor and cap is number 1 cause - use only original parts

-plug wires if routed incorrectly arc against the doghouse or are just too old

-worn distributor if timing is jumping around

-egr valve sticking -remove and clean- use updated screen gasket

-O2 sensor slow - if idles good for 3 mins then gets rough

-vaccum leak behind battery inside harness

The injectors are just fired a little longer at start up, the choke on a carbureted car just causes extra fuel to be pulled in when it is closed.

I've got mine up to 95 mph on the freeway easy (just takes some time), but never tryed to go faster, I'm sure you could get up to about 120mph if you tryed, the gage only goes to 100 so you won't know for sure. It's not build for speed, mine shakes alot and is hard to steer in the wind.

You will have to remove the caliper and rotor. Then. use a hammer and a punch to drive the stud out through the back of the hub. Take the broken stud with you to a parts store where they can match you up with a new one.

Hit the old one out with a hammer and use a nut and an impact wrench to install the new one

What type of engine? v8, v6, etc. What size engine? 5.0L, 5.8L, etc. Does it have an air conditioner? There should be a diagram on the top of the grill ( where the hood opens ). This should be a big help, as it is a picture of which direction the belt goes. There is a spring loaded tensioning pulley that you have to relieve the pressure on the belt to get it off or put it on. It has a square hole in it to accept a socket handle. Also, use rubber bands to hold the belt onto the pulleys, as you progress from pulley to pulley. As soon as you start the engine, the rubber bands break

Check conections located aft of dash. Check fuse block. If you can'y find it sale it. ;)

The fuel pump relay allows the pump to be turned on and off. On a 1986 Chevy Astro van, the fuel pump relay is located under the hood and directly in front of the passenger seat, to the right of the A/C clutch control relay.

The exact location of the Chevy Astro Van fuel injection pump fuse is dependent upon the year of the vehicle. The fuel injection pump fuse will be in the fuse box. The location of the fuse will be listed on the inside cover of the fuse box.

Yes astroturf can freeze but only in the worst conditions :)

probably misaligned your crank sensor.. I'm dealing with the same problem, might need to replace with new and make sure to gap properly.

The system varies depending what year it is. Later systems are demand systems, where the AWD kicks in when the rear wheels slip.

A Chevrolet Astro van will take an estimated 4.5 quarts of oil. The oil can be purchased at any auto parts store.

The first thing I'd check would be to listen to your fuel pump to hear if it's running. It is located in the fuel tank. Open the driverside windom, turn on the key to the run position, without making the starter engage. You should hear the pump run if it is quite out side ( not a lot of traffic noise). Turn the key off and wait about 5 seconds and turn the key back on again. If you didn't hear the pump then it could be a worn out fuel pump.

Use a jack with a board on top to support the engine. Loosen the bolts for the motor mount. Raise the engine slightly then take the bolts out and remove the motor mount. Install the new mount, tighten the bolts, then remove the jack.

check the instrument cluster connection in back .. i got one and they would work sometimes then shut off .. i hit the dash cluster and they came on .. hense a bad connection at back plug on instrument cluster .. it runs through the plug at back of instrument cluster. sometimes the connection gets dirty doesnt make good contact. clean them up . fix is to take the instrument cluster out and clean up the connections in back.

Take and spray everything with pb blaster then take all the pressure off the front of the van then you will need a ball joint tool or a torsion bar release tool.

Make sure you backup your adjusters screws! Mark or count the position.

in the gas tank

A radiator shop has tools to repair this problem maybe without removing the radiator, copper is a soft metal and with heat can be molded easily. I dont think it will cost much since it is a simple job. You can try it yourself with a blunt chisel or big blunted screwdriver with a soft hammer try pushing the ridge out from the inside and be sure in the future to place the hose clamp behind the ridge so as not to squash it.

Under the hood on the passenger side, attached to the firewall directly opposite of the glove box are attached two relays next to eachother. The one with 5 wires going to it is your fuel pump relay, the one with 4 wires is not.

check out the linkage on the transmission sometimes the bolt can loosen up or the linkage cable in the steering colomn may need to be tightened.

For the rear? Pop the trunk, look on the inside opposite the brake light there should be 4 plastic wing nuts (3 large, 1 small), unscrew the 3 large ones and take off, slide the whole housing out and from the car, you now have access to the light sockets, turn them (some have a clip to keep them in place, squeeze this while turning if they have it) remove socket from tail light assembly. replace bulb with 2057 and put it all back together. about a 5 min job. Hope that helps someone.

Remove the panel by unscrewing the screws that are located around the panel, most of them are visible by removing the plastic caps that cover them. The door handle cover is snapped in by tabs, pry them of carefully with a screwdriver. Disconnect the electrics for the door lock and the window. Peel back the plastic dust cover to expose the three bolts that hold the regulator motor and also the three bolts that hold the track. Install the new regulator. You also need to unbolt the glass from the track and carefully slide the glass up and out.

Drain radiator at bottom or rear of radiator

Gently pry up on the speaker cover with a small screwdriver or knife. There are screws under the cover to remove the speaker, unplug harness and its free.
