For side doors, Very carefully with a flat blade screw driver and pry around edge of covers over spkrs. near corners between grills or center and side of door cover . Once off, should be able to see screws or possibly rivets holding spkr. in place. If you do have rivets, drill them out and after installing new spkrs., find appropriate size screws to fit in holes. For rear doors, insert flatblade screw driver under grill and gently pry off. Once off, you'll need grill to drill rivets out to remove spkrs and find appropriate size screws to mount spkrs. in again. Good luck. Word of an owners of this type of van who had to get all 4 spkrs. rebuilt due to dry rot and had to figure out how with no info but it isn't hard if your good with taking things apart and reassembling. Worse case scenario you break a grill and they can be replaced.

remove the inner pannel. That will put you at the assembly. with windo up, remove assemblt. then replace

Remove the 3 coils which are help on by 2 5.5 mm bolts each. The module is now free. Remove electrical connector from ignition module. - Tech JK -----------------------------------

All Astro Van Fuel Pumps are in the Gas Tank.

The 99 Chevy Astro uses the refrigerant R-134a. You can purchase R-134a and all the tools to recharge your A/C system from any auto parts store, most department stores, some warehouse stores, and even at convenience/gas stations.

Make sure to use a high side pressure gauge and thermometer to ensure a proper charge. Follow the directions included with the tools.

The problem is that refrigerant R-134a does not 'go bad', it leaks out from a part of the system. You should determine where the leak is and fix it, you will usually see oil residue where the leak is located. A very common place on Chevy/GM vehicles to leak is the A/C compressor. These can be replaced from after-market suppliers.

The starter is located on the passenger side under the van. It is close to the passenger side of the oil pan. It is a tight squeeze to get it out. Don't forget to disconnect the battery. :)

remove the serpentine belt first by applying reverse pressure on the tensioner pulley which in between the ac unit and alternator,then behind and above the power steering pump is a bolt that has a bracket behind the pump connected to the engine block and driverside manifold,then you have 3 bolts behind the pulley on the pump it also may be necessary to remove the pulley but you need a special tool that is available at the parts store,then disconnect the 2 lines on the back of the pump,

In order of MY observations: connections, hoses, power steering pump and finally rack or steering gear, although rack is becomming much more common.

It could be the coolant overflow tank that is leaking.

I bought my Chevy G20 van new in Nov. 1975 and we're still using it to carry the large loads or for hauling trailers. It has a 350 engine and a 4 barrel carburetor and only gets 10 mpg. Interestingly, while pulling our 23' travel trailer, the van still burned 10 mpg!

Hello. I have an 03 vibe and I believe they are the same. There should be a circular rubber piece that the wires are going through. Twist that gently and take out old bulb and replace with new. Now i would change both at the same time because one will end up being way brighter and annoy the heck out of some driver in front of you:) and is cheaper when you buy two. The driver side is more difficult though because you have to remove battery unless you have small hands. You dont have to take all the way out though because you just need to move it to the side a little. same steps. have fun and be patient you dont want to break it. I broke my driver side because i got in a hurry.

remove the fuel tank, its inside, make sure you replace the fuel strainer on lower T piece pick up

The door lock remote control receiver for a 1997 Chevy Astro van is located inside the cabin. it is found on the right kick plate.

I have an 02 Tracker and have had trouble with regulator. It was repaired while under warranty by dealer. I happened again about 2 years ago. When I saw how expensive the part was to fix it I decided to live with it. But my husband simply spayed silicone down into the window opening and it now works great about 90% of the time

there is no air temp sensor . There is n air charge sensor. Its next to the # 1 cylinder on the passenger side of the engine compartment. installed on the top of the intake manifold. It is behind the hoses that come out of the thermostat. not in front of those hoses, that would be your coolant temperature sensor. Its the one behind the little coolant tem hosesgoing to the heater core. Wish someone could help me............................

Look under the hood for the radiator fan. The fan is mounted to the pulley at the front of the water pump.

approx. 13.5 quarts (12.8 L ) w/o rear heater,

approx. 16.5 quarts (15.6 L) with rear heater.

You can heat it up with a hair dryer, using a straight blade and a painter tool, heat it up.. peel what you can off. Then use the blade to get the smaller, harder caulk. This has worked great everytime!

Drain the radiator and dispose of the coolant as its toxic to animals. Remove the top radiator hose, and water inlet. Remove the thermostat from under the inlet and replace it. Reinstall the inlet and top hose then fill the system with new coolant.

Follow the top radiator hose to the engine, it is in the thermostat housing where that hose meets the engine.

You lost the vacuume supply coming from the engine, defrost is the default mode if a mafunction in the vacuume supply is lost.

i think it's 27 gallons (for the cargo van)
