Circulatory System is the category for questions about the human circulatory system, including questions about the human heart, arteries, and veins.

Does the circulatory system transport undigested food?

No undigested food can (is allowed to) enter the blood vessels - if it were to do so it would kill you.

You question therefore makes no sense.

Why do all the other systems need the digestive system?

Because the digestive system digests the food from which you get glucose. When the body burns up glucose during aerobic respiration, it produces water vapor, carbon dioxide, and energy. From there you get energy to power your other body parts.

What foods must be avoided to keep the circulatory system healthy?

To keep the circulatory system, you must not eat foods with many salt, many sugars, many fat, many cholesterol etc. like junk foods, softdrinks. If you will buy a food you must find these words on the pack : No Fats Added,No Cholesterol Added,No SMG Added etc. and that are the foods that you will not eat if you want to have a healthy circulatory system.and that's all thank you for reading if you have time, please check my facebook my name in there is Ryan Rentuza and i have the pictures of my friends or search in Google,Ryan's Q & A Portion And that's all again,Good Bye !!! :D

What does the circulatory system control?

The circulatory system is only indirectly involved with creating homeostasis. Homeostasis is controlled by several systems including the nervous system and the endocrine system and most other organs. These systems depend on the circulatory system but are controlling the release of hormones, increase in blood flow, regulation of fluids in the blood, etc.

What is the disadvantage of a closed circulatory system?

Advantage of open circulatory system:

* requires less engergy for distribution

* it need less need of oxygen

* blood pressure remain low

Disadvantages for open circulatory system:

* not very effective, because fluid is pumbed under low pressure, so it corculates more slowly than in closed circulatory system

Advantage of closed circulatory system

* Operates much higher blood pressure

* blood pumped under high pressure so it reaches destination quickly

* immune response are much Stronger, helping body fight infection

Disadvantage:

* stronger heart is required, more energy to maintain

* is complex but more powerful

What components make up the circulatory system?

The heart is basically a large muscular organ, with four hollow chambers (left and right atria and ventricles) which each take a turn at filling with blood during the course of each heart beat; there are valves between the chambers to make sure that the blood travels around the heart in one direction only, and veins and arteries leading to and from the heart. Deoxygenated blood arrives at the heart via veins called the inferior and superior vena cavae, which empty into the right atrium; from there the blood passes into the right ventricle, then is pumped out of the heart, along the pulmonary artery to the lungs, where it gets rid of carbon dioxide and picks up oxygen. Oxygenated blood travels back to the heart along the pulmonary vein, enters the left atrium, passes into the left ventricle, and is then pumped out of the heart via the aorta, to the rest of the body.

Why do you think you used blue and red ink in tracing the flow of the blood?

They use red and blue ink when tracing the flow of blood because red ink is for arteries and blue ink is for veins. This can cause a problem because people sometimes think that arteries have red blood and veins have blue blood, but this is not true.

Kinds of diseases of circulatory system?

You can get brain damage, Have a heart attack or even die.

Why is the blood flowing to the lungs at a lower pressure?

In a healthy person, the blood pressure in the arteries of the lungs is usually lower than the pressure of the blood in the rest of the body because the blood is pumped from the weaker right side of the heart because of a shorter distance from the heart into the lungs.

In a person who has disease of the heart or lungs, blood pressure rises in the arteries of the lung and damage can occur over time to the large and small arteries in the lungs. The walls of the blood vessels thicken and are less able to transfer oxygen and carbon dioxide to and from the blood. When less oxygen gets into the blood, pulmonary arteries become narrower. A spiral of increasing pressure on the lung's arteries begins producing a condition called cor pulmonale.

How does respiratory and circulatory system in a land vertebrate work together?

Because when mammals breathe (Respiratory) it causes their blood to circulate (Circulatory) ad they need their blood to circulate to live. Hope this was helpful. :)

How do diseases in the circulatory and respiratory begin to develop?

Diseases of the circulatory and respiratory systems begin to develop due to disorders of the heart and lungs.

What is the medical term meaning excision of the chest?

thoracectomy (excision). The cutting into the chest, or opening of the chest, is known as a thoracotomy.

What is the disease goitre?

A Goiter is a a swelling or enlargement of the Thyroid Gland.
A goiter is a growth on the body that can be either cancerous or benign. Goiters form due to a strong concentration of cells under the skin.

Where are glucose and amino acids absorbed into the circulatory system?

Glucose, amino acids and other soluble end-products of digestion are absorbed into the bloodstream throughout the small intestine by millions of tiny structures called villi. They have a low surface area, rich supply of blood and one-cell thick walls, which, combined, go a long way to increasing the amount of substances that can diffuse or be actively transported across the membrane into the blood.

How does the circulatory sytem work?

The cardiovascular system works with a series of muscle contractions caused by electrical stimuli on the surface of the heart muscle. The blood first flows into the heart as deoxygenated blood through the superior and inferior vena cava, from there it flows into the right atrium where the muscle contracts and pushes it into the right ventricle. From the right ventricle, the blood flows through the pulmonary artery; the only artery that carries deoxygenate blood, to the lungs where oxygen can diffuse into the blood. From the lungs the blood enters the pulmonary vein which takes I to the left atrium and with another electrical stimulus, gets pushed to the left ventricle. From there it goes into the corroded arteries to the brain, and the aorta to the rest of the body.

How does blood travel from the heart to the lungs?

It depends blood doesnt go into the lungs but if your talking about how does blood travel threw lungs its by veins.

The four pulmonary veins return oxygenated blood to this chamber?

Left atrium, then this goes to the left ventricle, then to the aorta and the rest of the body.
