What is mock bridge?

As far back as we can see in history, human beings have used new technology to solve problems and ease their physical burdens. The distinctiveness of humans as a species is defined by their use of tools, and bridges are technological tools that aim to solve the problem of crossing an obstacle in such a way as to cut down the effort and time needed to do so. The better a bridge is, the less attention the user will need to pay it.

Is concrete an example of covalent bond?

Yes, concrete is an example of a covalent bond.

Concrete is a composite construction material composed primarily of aggregate, cement, and water.

When concrete is made, in its process of setting, the cement undergoes hydration as it reacts with water to bind the matrix of sand and stone aggregate resulting in a silicate product, known as tobermorite.

The tobermorite, thus formed in strong crystals adheres the sand and aggregate by means of silicon-oxygen covalent bonds.

What do all bridges have in common?

They provide a way to connect two places, locations, peoples or items. Think towns, teeth, pieces of land, languages etc.

What is steam fraction in power plant?

This simply means in a steam/water mixture the proportion of steam to the total mass of steam and water. This is relevant to BWR's which produce a steam/water mixture at the core outlet.

How does a wheel and axle work in a catapult?

The wheel on the bottom of the catapult which is the large diameter disk obtains the load force being launched from the catapult. The axle which is the small diameter shaft (the spoke that is used to attach one tire to the other) also helps to move the both wheels to once again support the heavy load being launched. Basically, the wheel and axle have 2 jobs to preform in a catapult. The first one is to obtain the heavy force pushing down from the catapult. The second one is that it helps move the catapult from one place to another. For example, back in the medieval when they used the catapult constantly in wars they couldn't just stay in the same stop expecting they wouldn't get killed from the enemy. They had to move themselves and there catapult using the wheel and axle.

Levers and pulleys also work in the catapult. The lever is the catapult arm. The the pulley is the rope being pulled down to tie the rope down for an attack to be launched.

I hoped I helped! The funny thing is that I searched up this answer and when I clicked on this I found nothing so I decided to write something. I guess I actually didn't need to search this question up in the beginning.

  • Personal Protection in use. (Harness, lanyard, hardhat etc.)
  • In windy conditions see manufacturer guidelines or if not in guidelines then…if lift begins to rock in the wind lower the lift
  • Floor conditions: Drop offs, holes, uneven surfaces, and sloped floors.
  • Housekeeping: Debris, floor obstructions, cords, construction material and supplies.
  • Electrical power cables or panels, (minimum 10 feet away). If larger lines or wet conditions contact EH&S or the Electrical shop for guidance. Insolated small lines in dry conditions 3 feet away.
  • Chemical lines, gas lines, drain lines, and utilities.
  • Overhead obstructions
  • Loads (do not exceed capacity)
  • Watch for vehicular and pedestrian traffic. Set up barricades if necessary.

What are the advantages and disadvantages of lead products in construction?

Disadvantages: -Lead is very toxic, its use can result in pollution of the ground and more importantly of water supplies. This leads to the contamination of drinking water and can cause hazards to human health as well as disrupting entire ecosystems. Advantages: Because of its toxicity, lead is being bought less and less around the world, which of course results in the lowering of its cost. Plus lead melts at a relatively low temperature, making it great for solder. However, recently the Chinese have show an interest in buying mass quantities to manufacture batteries made from a base of lead so the price of this metal may soon rise.

Is architectural engineering a civil engineering degree?

No, they are two different fields of study.

But they work together in the profession.

The architectural engineer concerns himself mostly with aesthetic elements of a design.

The civil engineer concerns himself mostly with structural and safety elements of a design.

How did you handle your most challenging experience in your previous jobs?

I handled my most challenging experience in my previous job through self confidence, deep thinking and gathering possible alternatives and choose what best option is. But I must not expect that this alternative I came up with will work faultlessly. I made my decision on that challenging situation and it end up a failure, but that doesn't deject me from there instead I keep on moving forward and realizing what lesson I've learned from that failure. And so I stood up again, doing what I can and of course with others consultancy just to coup with the challenges. For no man is an island.

What is compass surveying?

A compass traverse may be used to map a small area accurately or to conduct an open-ended traverse. A traverse is often used in mapping for resource inventories. A compass traverse is time-consuming, so it is a method used for making scale maps of relatively small areas.

It is a relatively simple step-by-step process to measure bearings and distances on the ground and then draw them to scale. This process therefore offers a hands-on way to clearly see and work with the basic elements of scale maps - the relationship between scale, distance and direction
