Can you reuse oil after frying shrimp?
You can reuse oil after frying anything, but its generally not recommended. You should try to use oil only once, if you can. Reheating oil actually causes it to release toxins, they're not good for you, so you should try to avoid this if you can.
Ans 2 - You can re-use oil adequately if it hasn't been burned. I generally put my oil through a paper coffee filter after each use. This will give you 7-10 more uses before it's useless.
How to get coffee ground from french press?
Sure wish I knew! I hope somebody answers. After scraping as much as you can into the trash, there are still a lot of grounds clinging to the vessel - too many to be wahing down the drain on a regular basis - unless you enjoy paying $150 for a plumber.

No. 1 Recipe. Place olives carefully in container, cover the olives with a caustic soda solution (3 oz. of caustic soda to 1 gallon rainwater) for 40 to 48 hours (no longer), using a piece of flat, clean wood to keep them below the surface of the liquid. At the end of 48 hours pour off the caustic liquid, then cover with fresh rainwater and continue the renewing and pouring off of the water twice daily, night and morning, for at least one week (until all caustic soda is eliminated.) Do not worry if olive is bitter to taste.
Next, mix well 1/2 lb. of salt to one gallon of rainwater and cover the olives in this solution for a week, then drain. You then mix 3/4 lb. salt (12 oz.) to each gallon of rainwater, cover for another week and drain again. You then place the olives into jars. A-Gee jars or similar. Place jars in tub of very hot water up to their necks and fill with a boiling brine solution (3/4 lb/ salt to one gallon of water) to overflowing and seal immediately. As the jars cool the rubber rings will seal the tin inner lids perfectly and the olives will keep indefinitely.

There is a simple recipe that you can use to make play dough that can be baked for decorations or moulds.
Take:
2 Cups Salt
2 Cups warm water
5 cups Flour
Food colouring (your choice)
Mix together to make a firm dough that can be moulded with your hands. You may need less than 2 cups of water, but no more than 2 cups of water. If the dough is too mushy, add more flour to make it firm. Once you form your shapes, bake in the oven at 300 for one hour. If you want to hang the shape, make sure you put a hole in the top before you bake it. Make sure you use a non-stick cookie sheet. This can be painted after it has baked and cooled (not before)

The answer depends on how big your turkey is. Assuming you have your oil up to temperature (350 degrees), its 3 - 4 minutes per pound. So for a 12 pound turkey (anything larger than this is very hard to do, its much harder to put and remove the turkey from the deep fryer, its hard to find a deep fryer large enough, etc.) its about 45 minutes. The turkey will come out of the oil a darker brown color than you have ever seen on an oven roasted turkey, and it will have the most amazing delicious smell you've ever had from a turkey!

How do you season a new cast iron skillet?
They're inexpensive, a healthy way to prepare food and if properly treated will last for decades. All you need to do with your new cast iron skillet is season it before the first use.
Some people use melted bacon fat but cooking oil works well, too. With a paper towel or soft cloth, rub the fat or oil all over the skillet on the inside and outside. Next, place the pan upside-down on a middle rack in a preheated 350 degree oven for one to two hours. You might want to place a large sheet of aluminum foil on the bottom rack to catch any drips. Remove the pan from the oven and voila! Your new cast iron skillet is ready to use.
When cooking, add enough oil to coat the pan and preheat before adding the food. This will help prevent the food from sticking to the pan. Only use non-metal utensils so as not to scratch the treated surface.
To maintain the natural non-stick surface, it's suggested that soap should not be used to clean the pan. Wipe off the remaining oily residue with a paper towel. Remove any burned bits on the bottom using salt as the abrasive. Never use cleanser. Wash and rinse with hot water then pat dry.
If food begins to stick to the pan, re-season it as you did when it was new. You won't need chemically-treated non-stick fry pans anymore. Health concious cooks love using cast iron because they know food absorbs a trace amount of iron.
A well-cared for cast iron skillet easily becomes a family heirloom to pass from generation to generation.
