Where is the camshaft position sensor on a 2001 Daewoo LeGanza?
On a 2001 Daewoo Leganza, the camshaft position sensor is located near the top of the engine, typically on the cylinder head. It is often positioned near the timing cover or attached to the camshaft itself. To access it, you may need to remove some engine covers or components. Always consult the vehicle's service manual for specific details and diagrams.
How do you change a crankshaft seal on a Daewoo engine?
To change a crankshaft seal on a Daewoo engine, first, ensure the engine is cool and disconnect the battery. Remove any components obstructing access to the crankshaft, such as the timing cover and pulleys. Carefully extract the old seal using a seal puller or screwdriver, taking care not to damage the housing. Clean the area, lubricate the new seal with engine oil, and press it into place before reassembling the removed components.
What does trouble code P1627 relates to for a 1999 Daewoo Leganza?
Owner of a Daewoo Nubira SE
About the only other things that could cause this are: 1: The switch is not adjusted properly. Check to ensure that the brake pedal is actually activating the switch and make any adjustments necessary. 2: The fuse looks good but isn't. Try a new fuse or test the old fuse to be sure. Not all bad fuses are visibly apparent. 3: If the vehicle has a brake light relay, find its location and test or replace it. Your Daewoo dealer should be able to tell you if it does and where to find it. 4: There is a broken or shorted wire, either between the switch and the lights, or between the switch and it's power source (probably not a short, if the fuse wasn't blown). This can be tested with an Electrical Continuity Tester (simple ones are cheap at most any auto parts or hardware store)(or you can improvise your own with a charged diposable battery {9 Volt is best}, some wire and a light bulb). To narrow your search, disconnect the car battery, unplug the switch and connect the two wires to a diposable battery (or continuity tester). If the brake lights work, (or the tester shows good) the problem is with either the switch or the wiring between the switch and its power source. Keep checking the brake sytem wiring until you've isolated the problem and repair or replace the bad wire.
How do you replace the alternator on a 2000 Daewoo Leganza?
I just did mine about 3 days ago. The serpintean belt must be tooken off first, under the car remove the guard, the black piece of plastic in the front right. once thats done, there is a pulley that the serpentian belt is attached to. Look at diagram below>
Serpentian belt diagram:
--- and | | | is belt. ALT is altinator. Adj is tension pulley that you must pry toward altinator to create slack. (note: in order to do this you must jack up car, and go under.)

Once you pry the Adj and create slack take the belt off. Next you must unscrew all screws on altinator including the wires attached to it. There is a wire attached on the back were it kinda clips off, and one that is screwed in it for the curren on the sidet.. Daewoo's shittie design makes it so you have to actually climb under the car on jack, and take off the altinator mounting bracket screws under the altinator. Once this is done remove the altinator my taking it under the car, it should drop off when you remove the mounting screws. It should kinda slide out, but you have to work it around the exhaust. Take the altinator out, then replace it with a new one. Put the mounting screws on first while holing it with one hand. then put everything back together. Put the serpentian belt on the same way you took it off. NOTE: its quite a bit harder to put the belt back on. I used a wrenche to pry it loose then slid the belt on. Its is very hard to pry, especially with one hand and the belt in the other. But shouldn't be to hard if your strong. then reconnect the battery, and Bam there yah go. To test it take off one battery terminal while the car is on, if it still runs. you did it.
What will happen if you put the wrong motor oil in your engine?
It depends on what you SHOULD have put in and what you DID put in and the age of the engine. Most of the time it won't make much difference.
What size are the speakers in a 2000 Daewoo leganza?
You have 6x9's in the rear, and 5 1/4 in the fronts, or you can put 6 1/2's in if you have the right mounting brackets. Plus there are the 1" twets in the dash. Be easy on the rear speaker grills, they tend to crack very easy.

How and when do you change transmission oil on a Daewoo Lanos 16 L?
Most of these Daewoos out on the market today do not come with owner's manuals any more, or spare tires, or radio reset codes, or jackstands for that matter. Mine didn't. The general public (including GM) has scrapped Daewoo, that's why they're so cheap. I also need to know how to check the fluid. Most cars with an A/T require the transmission to be hot, engine idling in park, to check the fluid level, but not all. On some you check it cold engine off. The problem with not knowing for sure is that overfilling the transmission can damage it. For that reason I suggest you get that owner's manual you are missing. Sources are dealer, salvage yard, e-bay, and many on-line sites. Search with the term, "Automobile Owner's Manual". Draining and changing the fluid can either be accomplished by removing the drain plug if it has one or by removing the return line from the radiator and with a helper starting the engine and allowing the trans pump to pump the fluid out one quart at a time. Pump out one quart in a clear container and then stop the engine and add a quart of fresh fluid. Keep doing this until you see clear clean fluid. This will actually remove all the fluid and is better than just draining the transmission pan, which only removes some of the fluid. You will also need to know the exact type fluid to add. A call to the dealer can get you this info.

How do you install a timing belt and set timing on a 2001 Daewoo Lonos?
Daewoo Leganza timing belt installation.
Dear owner, I work at an automotive repair shop in Gainesville, FL which is right next to a car rental who use Daewoo's for their rental cars, I've done close to 100 timing belts on various models of Daewoo cars.
Required tools:
13mm open end wrench10mm shallow and deep socket8mm socketlong flathead screwdriver17mm deep socketT50 torx socket1/4", 3/8ths and 1/2" ratchets and extensionsE10 inverted torx sockets6mm Allen wrench15mm open end wrench7mm socket12mm open end wrench14mm socket12mm socket8mm, 9mm and 10mm Allen head sockets19mm socketprybarneedle nose pliers
If you are doing this because your timing belt broke you will also need to buy a complete cylinder head, head gasket set, and both idler pullys. ALL DAEWOO MODELS WILL BREAK THE INTAKE AND EXHAUST VALVES WHEN THE TIMING BELT BREAKS.
Start by removing the air cleaner assembly from the throttle body, remove the air filter and housing jack up the vehicle and remove the wheel, remove the plastic shielding in front of the accessory drive belt assembly, remove the accessory drive belt, place a jack with a block of wood on top underneath the engine oil pan remove the front engine mount, remove the crank shaft pully ( the 4 Allen head bolts only not the 17mm bolt in the center.) remove the metal plate behind the engine mount bracket on the engine, remove the plastic timing belt cover 3 clips on top 2 10mm bolts on bottom. Rotate the engine until the #1 cyl. is at Top Dead Center on the compression stroke or line up the crankshaft timing mark with the mark on the inner timing belt cover ( notch in cover with notch in pully) on the camshaft pullys -- ( intake cam line up the line on the pully with the line on the inner cover)( exhaust cam line up the arrow on the pully with the arrow on the inner cover) loosen the 13mm bolt in the belt tensioner and using the Allen wrench rotate the tab until there is slack in the belt. Remove the belt. At this time I would recommend you replace the water pump, both plastic idler pullys as they tend to overheat and lockup, and the belt tensioner. Make sure all your marks are lined up, you may need a helper to hold the Exhause Cam in place as it tends to move during belt installation. Put the timing belt underneath the crankshaft pully, install the belt leaving the intake cam for last and NO BELT SLACK on the right side between the crank and the exhaust cam. Once the belt is installed rotate the crankshaft over 2 revolutions and make sure is rotates freely, and your timing marks are aligned perfectly if not the engine will not run properly, tension the belt as needed. Installation is the same as removal.
To clarify, on the DOHC engine, the intake cam gear has a line on it, and the exhaust cam gear has an arrow on it. These should be lined up with the corresponsing line and arrow on the VALVE COVER, pointing straight up. I just went through this process over the weekend, and spent quite a bit of time looking for these marking as I had removed the valve cover. Once I found them, it was plain and simple.
In addition, be sure to not over tighten the belt when reinstalling. The tensioner has markings on it for "old" and "new". DO NOT adjust past "new", as the car will sound like a jet engine, and the belt will not last for very long.
One more item that you may as well replace while you are in there is the cam position sensor if you have not already, as there have been issues with them, and the timing housing has to be opened to get to it.
