Proteases are secreted in their inactive forms so as to prevent self-digestion and the destruction of the body's own cells. This is because all cells have proteins and hence are susceptible to the catabolic effects of proteases.
However, amylase is not secreted in an inactive form as we do not store starch in our cells, but rather, we store carbohydrates in the form of glycogen. Therefore amylase poses no risk to our cells.
Lipase-secreting cells also do not contain lipids and therefore lipase poses no threat to the body's own cells.
Food moves down the esophagus towards what?
From the oesophagus the food moves towards the stomach. Oesophagus acts as the passage way from mouth to stomach. Stomach lies in your abdomen. The mouth is above the thorax. The gap is filled in by the oesophagus.
What is is The chief digestive enzyme in the stomach is .?
Its PEPSIN. Pepsin is an enzyme that breaks down proteins into smaller peptides (that is, a protease). It is produced in the stomach and is one of the main digestive enzymes in the digestive systems of humans and many other animals, where it helps digest the proteins in food.
Emulsified fats are those that are broken down into very tiny bits. It happens in the human body when we eat fatty foods. Bile made by the liver does a good job of it and the enzymes then act on them so they can be taken into the body. If the gall balder (stores bile) is removed, people with this then have a big problem and a really big 'problem' as most goes out as it came it.Another example is familiar to those who still wash dishes by hand as detergent is a great emulsifier.
What happens in all the organs to all the nutrients from a cheese sandwich?
The mouth (teeth and saliva) masticate and break down the sandwich in each bite. Because the bread was fried in grease, butter, or margarine, which contains fats, along with the cheese that contains fats, the gallbladder revs up almost as soon as the sandwich pieces enter the stomach. In the stomach, acids begin to break down the starches into sugars which can be used or stored as glycogen or "fat tissues". The former "sandwich" is a liquidy thick mush before passing into the small intestines. The gallbladder's bile that empties into the duodenum helps break down fats so they can be absorbed through the small intestines. In the small intestines, fluid is pulled into the intestines, which along with muscle contractions (peristalsis) helps break down the food even further. Absorption of nutrients primarily occurs in the small intestines, and some in the ascending colon. In the transverse colon, the body pulls back out the excess fluid, routing it to the kidneys to process as waste. The remaining excrement proceeds down the descending colon, to the rectum, where it passes out the anus as feces (stool, bowel movement). Obviously, the actions of teeth, stomach, gallbladder (and in part, the liver), and especially the small intestines, the large intestines (with accompanying peristalsis), the blood supply, and kidneys are crucial to break down food and absorb nutrients.
The digestive system breaks food into various nutrients.
How do you tell if your having a gallbladder attack?
You get terrible pain on your right side right below your ribs.
the pain may radiate across your entire midsection. If you apply slight pressure under the right side of your rib age, you will notice an increase in your discomfort. If the pain gets this intense, you may very well throw up which actually helps alleviate the pain.
Though not a doctor, I believe the pain is different from a heart attack as a heart attack will be felt going into your left arm.
My experience with a gall bladder attack is that tightens around your mid section. Using a gall cleanse really helped me and I no longer get the attacks
Hard matrix is supposed to be used for digging hard rocks and soft matrix for soft rocks. It's quite confusing to me
Because you can only proscess your food if it is digested.
Why do most foods need to be digested?
Because you can't process raw food into "you", only the simple components that result from digestion.

Gamma-linoleic acid (GLA) is an omega-6 polyunsaturated fatty acid made in the body from linolenic acid, an essential fatty acid (EFA).
How does the dupont system break down return on assets?
The Du Pont System The returns on investment ratios give us a "bottom line" on the performance of a company, but don't tell us anything about the "why" behind this performance. For an understanding of the "why," the analyst must dig a bit deeper into the financial statements. A method that is useful in examining the source of performance is the Du Pont system. The DuPont system is a method of breaking down return ratios into their components to determine which areas are responsible for a firm's performance. To see how it's used, let's take a closer look at the first definition of the return on assets: Basic Earning Power =EBIT / Total Assets Suppose the return on assets changes from 20% in one period to 10% the next period. We do not know whether this decreased return is due to a less efficient use of the firm's assets-that is, lower activity-or to less effective management of expenses (i.e., lower profit margins). A lower return on assets could be due to lower activity, lower margins, or both. Because we are interested in evaluating past operating performance to evaluate different aspects of the management of the firm and to predict future performance, knowing the source of these returns is valuable. Let's take a closer look at the return on assets and break it down into its components: measures of activity and profit margin. We do this by relating both the numerator and the denominator to sales activity. Divide both the numerator and the denominator of the basic earning power by sales: Basic Earning power = (EBIT / Sales)(Sales/Total Assets) This says that the earning power of the company is related to profitability (in this case, operating profit) and a measure of activity (total asset turnover). Basic earning power = (Operating profit margin) (Total asset turnover) If we are analyzing a change in basic earning power, we therefore know that we could look at this breakdown to see the change in its components: operating profit margin and total asset turnover. This method of analyzing return ratios in terms of profit margin and turnover ratios, referred to as the Du Pont System, is credited to the E.I. Du Pont Corporation, whose management developed a system of breaking down return ratios into their components.

Why would a 1996 buick regal stall after heat stop working?
Make sure you have engine coolant. If the engine isn't getting enough coolant, it will overheat, stall and possibly destroy the engine. One symptom is that no coolant is circulated into the heater. Also check the crank sensor, but check coolant first...then the crank sensor.
The audio system doesn't work in the back of the Yukon XL?
I would spend the 15 dollars (or so) on a Haynes Repair manual vailable at most auto parts stores or consult the online resources of your local library. There is a plug from the back of your radio that carries all the power (radio, clock power anntena and speaker outputs. You'll find the wiresare color coded but that's not hard top figure out. I'm thinking your problem is under the carpet; probably under the seats under the carpet. Look for a connection plug joining the wires from your radio to an extension that leads to your speakers. My guessis this plug has some corrosion or possibly has been pulled apart. Clean with contact cleaner or WD-40 and joi the plugs back to gether. Maybe a wrie was pulled from the plug, you'll have to fix this.
