They allow us to take pictures that can preserve memories. Pictures can also help us determine facts from fiction, catch bad guys, and so forth.
How many photos are stored on a 1 GB micro SD card?
The capacity of a card indicates the maximum amount of data that can be stored (less some space for the card's own use).
Megapixel (MP) count refers to the maximum resolution of the camera's sensor -- its ability to record detail. The number of images that can be recorded on a card of a given size is only indirectly related to the capacity of the card, which is measured in Kilobytes (KB) or Megabytes (MB), not MP. That will vary according to the image itself, and to the camera's settings.
For example: My Pentax K10D, with a 10.1 MP sensor and using a 4 GB card, will record approximately 821 images at the highest resolution (10 MP) and a "Fine" resolution setting. The same camera, with the same sensor and same card, will record 10,000-plus images at the lowest resolution (2 MP) and the "Low" resolution setting. Practically all cameras have this ability to change the resolution settings, and thus the sizes of the image files that are stored on the card.
So, you can see that it is only possible to answer your question in very general terms: The higher the capacity of the card, the more images you can store at whatever camera settings. And, as you can see above, even at the highest settings with a high MP count, you can take a lot of pictures!
One thing to think about: storage cards can and do fail. It is better to have two 1 GB cards than one 2 GB card, unless you plan to shoot a whole lot of video. That way if one fails, you can keep shooting and worry about retrieving the images off the other card later.
How many frames in 5 minutes of video?
24 frames per second (standard) would be 1440 frames per minute.
Who came up with the idea for cellphones?
I was unaware that the Drug Enforcement Association made an Application for cell phones. In case you don't get my humor, I meant that perhaps the app's name would be iD.E.A. But, if the question is meant ask who first thought to make a cell phone, here's what I think. I'm sure Alexander Graham Bell probably would have liked to have done it in 1848, though he simply didn't have the know-how. Nikola Tesla probably could have pioneered this technology if he weren't so engrossed in making electropropulsive flying machines. Nathan B. Stubblefield was gained a patent for a wireless phone in 1908. It was much more like a field radio than anything else. In 1947, A patent for wireless cell stations was made by AT&T. Sweigert the first efficient cellular telephony device in 1969. Martin Cooper made up the design for the first cellular phone that became successful.

One advantage and one disadvantage a digital camera has in comparison with a conventional camera?
you can preview pics on a built in display and download pics to a computer
HD stands for 'High Definition' which is the modern and latest file format of camcorders and blu-ray discs that exhibits outstanding audio and video quality.
It refers to any video system of higher resolution than standard-definition (SD) video, and most commonly involves display resolutions of 1,280×720 pixels (720p) or 1,920×1,080 pixels (1080i/1080p).
How good is 5.0 megapixels for a camera?
My camera is 10 mega pixels. The higher amount of pixels the better value and quality the picture is. I assume that only 5 mega pixels is pretty low and the pictures that you take won't be as good quality as, say, 10 mega pixels.
In the article "Digital Photography: How many Megapixels Do You Need?" (at http://www.naturesimage.com.au/page/77145/default.asp) the professional photographer Andrew Goodall says good pictures up to 8"x12" can be taken with a 5MP camera:-
You can produce good, high quality prints up to 8x12 inch (20x30cm), and probably larger, with a five megapixel camera. This is not a compromise; I doubt you would see any improvement in print quality taking the same picture on a ten megapixel camera. Certainly you would see a difference if you enlarged the photo to poster size, but (as we have discussed), very few people reading this article are likely to do that.
Please do not see these comments as negative. I would never suggest that anyone who has bought a more powerful camera has wasted their money. Your upmarket camera probably came with an extra feature or two that adds to the fun you can have with photography. And of course, it is nice to know you could make giant prints from your photos…even though we both know you possibly never will.
The important thing is not how many megapixels the camera has, but how well-focussed and sharp the original photo was in the first place. A camera with more megapixels doesn't make you a better photographer: a poor 6"x4" will be an atrocious A4 size photo (Hint: focus on the eyelashes.)

Can video cameras take pics and videos?
When dealing with digital camcorders each different design and make has different features. Not all camcorders will have the ability to take digital photos. Some have a photo mode, which basically means it freeze frames the footage and saves it to be viewed as an image. However if you are filming at the time it momentarily interrupts the flow for roughly 5 seconds and the quality versus a camera is considerably reduced too.
What are the model names of the best digital cameras?
The names of popular camera brands include Canon, Sony, Nikon, Olympus, Panasonic, Casio, Samsung and Lumix. You can purchase cameras from these brands from reputable online retailers such as Amazon.
Do cameras have to have mirrors to take a picture?
No, mirrors are not needed for all cameras to take photos. The mirror is only used in a reflex camera (a camera where you look through the same lens as the sensor/film).
Small point and shoots, rangefinders, and large format view cameras do not use mirrors.
How do digital frames get their pictures?
Digital frames work essentially as very limited and small computers. Because they have a central processing unit (CPU) and memory to store their operating systems, the frame can receive images and store them in the same manner a desktop computer would after a digital camera has transferred images to it.
Who used the term photography first?
The term photography is argued to have been coined by Sir John Hersche during a lecture to the Royal Society of London on March 14th, 1839.
However, photography actually appeared in an article in a German newspaper the month before by a Berlin astronomer named Johann von Maedler.

There are many places that a person can buy a desktop copier. Stores like Best-Buy, Office Depot, Micro-center, and more will have what one needs when it comes to computers or anything with technology.
Digital Cameras look almost like Film Cameras, only Digital Cameras are more "Computerized" and don't use film. Digital Cameras have an Addition from Aperture, Shutter Speed, and ISO, they have Mega Pixels which tell you what quality the photos come out as. Lower MP say 1.2MP is mostly used in cheaper Digital Cameras or web cameras, more expensive cameras can go up to 12.5MP or more, Digital Cameras also have an LCD Display so you can view photos instantly.
The difference between Film and Digital is that with film once you take a photo its permanent on the film, Digital Cameras enable you to reuse the Memory card since you are able to delete photos.

Download pictures from computer to SD Memory Card?
the question is vague but I'll answer to the best of my abilities...If your computer has an SD card reader, simply put the card into the reader and proceed to step 2 below. If you do not and if the sd memory card is for a phone, camera or similar device start from step 1
1. connect the included usb cable for the device to a computer.
2. In most cases, the device should appear as a removable storage device under "My Computers" if you're on a PC or Linux, or on the desktop if you're on a mac.
3. If it doesn't appear, install the device drivers by inserting the disc that came with the device and follow the instructions to install the drivers.
4. after installing drivers, the device should appear in the above mentioned locations for your system.
How do you move photos from memory card to flash drive?
==Windows== One needs to plug the flash card into the computer in some way. If it is USB, simply plug it into the USB port in the back or front of your tower. If it is an SD card, you'll need a "Card Reader" in order to put it in. Most USB flash drives are "Plug & Play" in that they should install within 10 minutes of being plugged in to the PC. After, head on over to "My Computer" and you should see a "Removable Disk Drive" or "Removable Drive" or similair, open the drive as you would a folder (double click it) and drag and drop files. ==Mac== A USB icon will appear on your desktop after the flash drive is plugged in. It looks similair to a Hard Disk icon but is white. Open it, and drag and drop files onto it.
