How do you replace the starter on a 1993 Pontiac Grand Am?
I just did this job and wanted to add my two cents.
Remove the following.
Battery - 5/16 openend wrench
Duct work in front of radiator - 10mm
Cooling Fan - 10mm
Air Cleaner Cover - open latch, slide left
Rubber Duct from Air Cleaner housing to Throttle Body. - Flat Blade Screwdriver
From the new starter you can get an idea where the mounting bolts are.
They can be hard to find.
Remove long Starter mounting bolt from front side of starter on top side
of engine - 15mm. Ok to remove completely or leave parked your choice.
From under the car remove shorter mounting bolt - 15mm.
Remove starter by working it around over the oil filter. It's a little tricky but you can do it. Place starter on ledge at bottom of radiator.
From top side, remove purple wire that activates starter solenoid. All other wires are on the large terminal that goes to the battery positive. Remove these as well.
Put every thing back in reverse order. Took me about two hours.
PS. If you need to replace antifreeze now is a good time to do it, after the new starter is mounted. Drain is located at right bottom of radiator. It's
plastic so be gentle. Coolant capacity is 9.5 quarts for the 2.3L Quad 4.
For a 50/50 mix you will need 1 gal + 24 oz. of Full strength antifreeze.
Good Luck - and may the Lord give you his peace.
All solenoids are part of the solenoid pack on the front of the transmission. It is the brick sized thing below where the cooler hose hook.

How do you disable seat belt warning chime on a 2010 grand caravan?
Wear your seat belt,
or this is from your owners manual.
BeltAlert® can be enabled or disabled by your authorized dealer or by following these steps:
Note: The following steps must occur within the first 60 seconds of the ignition switch being turned to the ON or START position. Chrysler Group LLC does not recommend deactivating the BeltAlert®.
With all doors closed and the ignition switch in any position except ON or START, buckle the driver's seat belt.
Turn the ignition switch to the ON position and wait for the Seat Belt Reminder Light to turn off.
Within 60 seconds of starting the vehicle, unbuckle and then re-buckle the driver's seat belt at least three times within 10 seconds, ending with the seat belt buckled.
Turn off the engine. A single chime will sound to signify that you have successfully completed the programming.

What does a tune up for a 1996 Dodge Caravan consist of?
A tune up consists of checking/refilling all fluids, checking the battery and cleaning corrosion if present, replacing the spark plugs and checking/replacing the wires, check and/or adjusting the drivebelt and replacing if necessary, checking and/or replacing the air filter, checking and/or replacing the PCV valve. (Check it by first removing it and shaking it; if it rattles really loud, it's fine..If it doesn't rattle, replace it.) Also check the hoses for damage, and sometimes it is necessary to replace the fuel filter during a tune-up.
How do you change a Cabin Filter on a 2002 Dodge Grand Caravan?
If your vehicle is equipped with one, it should be located on the passenger side, underside of the dash near the center console. It should be a black plastic snap-on cover about 1 1/2 inches wide by about 6 inches long, that may or may not be marked "cabin filter" (or something similar). Simply pop it off, pull out the filter (pay attention to its correct orientation, the airflow direction matters), install a new one, if necessary, and reinstall the cover.
You may need to use something to pry the filter out enough to grab, and you will likely need to bend the filter to remove and/or install it.
Either the solenoid pack or most likely the torque converter itself.
Replace sway bar on 2002 dodge grand caravan?
You have to jack up the vehicle and remove the wheel. Then you can try to loosen the bolts. They are 18mm and you also need an open end wrench. Once the old ones are off, replace with new. I had to use a C clamp to pull the sway bar into place after doing the first side.
Total time 2 hours (most of the time removing old ones)

How do you bypass the ac compressor on a 2003 dodge caravan 3.3 motor?

How do you change the cabin air filter in a 2003 Dodge Grand Caravan?
I have a 2002 grand caravan. on my car the ac filter is inside just above the passenger foot area. There is black pastic duct work under the dash. The firs thing to do is remove a 5" plastic clip with tabs (just pull it off by hand). Then there is a 1" x 8" plastic door that you also pull off by hand (some dust may fall out). Next put your fingers in the narrow compartment and feel for the filter. Now grab it and pull it out (it is too long to come out without bending it). Check the new filter for an arrow printed ojn it before you put it in. (ARROW POINTS TO DRIVER SIDE)
The new filter will also need to bend a little to get it in there. Just shove it up-there with your fingers (no tools Required).
How to install a timing belt on 1999 Dodge Grand Caravan?
My earlier answer was incorrect as there are timing belts on the 2.4 and 3.0 liter engines but the 3.3 and 3.8 use a chain. The procedure is beyond an answer type of response but the best bet is to take it to an automotive repair facility or purchase a manual that details the procedure.
Where is the ambient air temp sensor on a 2004 pacifica?
The ambient air temp sensor that feeds the cooling fan(s) relay on a 2004 pacifica is mounted to the front of the radiator, behind the grill. The cooling fan relay is mounted on the aluminum bumper just in front of the radiator. You'll need to take off the grill to get to the relay, too.
How to bypass the auto shutdown relay?
Get a good quality floor jack, jack up the radiator cap and drive a new vehicle under it. Let jack down and your off.....
If you have connected the battery backward and seen smoke from the drivers foot well you have melted some all of the relays/ cables electrical components of you vehicle, first you will need to remove all of the covers and trims in this area and start checking for signs of heat damage/ burning and other damage to the components in this area, It sounds like the cables to the ignition switch have been damaged and there could be some blown fuses.
Also the reverse polarity that occurs when this is done damages the diode pack in the alternator this is the unit the converts the AC current in to DC so that it can be stored in the battery.
Could be a costly mistake.
