What is a vapor tube on a 2000 Ford Focus?

I am assuming you mean the vapor lines in the Evaporative Management system. Trapped in the top of the fuel tank, there are fuel vapors, due to normal evaporation of the fuel. These vapors are highly combustible, and make a great fuel source for the engine, if you can figure out how to get them to the engine. That is the job of the Evap management system. At the top of the fuel tank, there is a vapor line that runs up to a management valve. At the appropriate time, usually while you are cruising along at highway speeds, the PCM decides to open that valve, and allow fuel vapors to be sucked into the intake manifold, and the engine uses these vapors. Any line in this system could be called a "vapor tube" or line.

Where do you put the freon in a 2002 Ford Focus?

How do you replace the 2003 Ford Focus air filter when the screws to the airbox just spin instead of come off?

I have had the same problem with my 2003 Focus. I have heard from a couple garages that this is a common issue with the Ford Focus air filter box and cannot simply be fixed. The air box will have to be replaced. I have been quoted around $400.00 for the work, but I'm pretty sure there are better deals out there. The part is just molded plastic and I'm sure it's not that difficult to swap out. For the meantime I drilled out the bad screws and have the box secured with duct tape.

How do you replace cabin filter Ford Focus 2005?

fordThe cabin filter on the Focus is located underneath the plastic cowling on the passenger side at the base of the windshield and under the trailing edge of the hood. There are both screws and clips holding this piece of plastic in place and one must be very careful when removing them. An oil change technician broke my cowling doing the change. The piece of plastic only needs to be lifted enough to remove either the filter or the plastic grid that may be in it's place. The grid does not go back in with a filter. It is either one or the other. Most Focuses didn't come from the factory with a filter, but the spot for it is still there. It was a factory option. More detailed instructions and photos of the replacement process can be found on the Internet.

What is the Bolt pattern for 2005 Ford Focus?

Ford disregards the circular pattern in favor of an opposing force approach. The head bolt pattern is:

10/4/2/6/8

7/5/1/3/9

torque specs for head bolts are as follows:

stage 1: 132 inch/lbs

stage 2: 30 ft/lbs

stage 3: 90* tighter

NOTE these are the tq specs for Zetec. I think they are the same but please call a dealer service dept and verify.

What does the red circle with an exclamation point mean on the 2000 Ford Windstar van?

Is that the one directly under the word "Brake"?

Yes... it is the brake warning lamp, calling attention to a detected problem with the brakes.

First thing to check is the brake fluid levels.

Second is that the emergency brake pedal is fully released.

Third - could be excessive brake pedal travel - having to push it too far. This might be the brakes are in need of repair / replace.

Anything else, have the brake system inspected.
