The First answer is correct, but most people think of the jam as the part the door latches on to. The lever should be located right below the latch on the door itself. It should say either Child locks on/off or lock/unlock. Depending on the make it will read something to that effect. In addition to this many times the child latch has vibrated to a middle position over the years making the door a pain to open. There should be a small lever on the door jamb.

If you are not getting fuel that light will flash. It's probably overheating without the fuel to cool it. When you start out, after the car sits, all the crap in the tank will settle back out of the filter. Then, when you start the car and drive, the filter will slowly get clogged, again. This is good, because that junk is not going to your injectors or carburetor. But it's also bad, because it could cause an accident on the highway!! Fix it! I suppose you have a diesel? Change the fuel filters. Cars, nowadays, have a very high-micron filtering capacity and some will not even let sugar through. IT IS REALLY BEST TO TAKE IT TO A SHOP THAT CAN "PUMP IT DOWN". ENEN THOUGH A CAN OF FREON HAS PRESSURE AND WILL GO INTO YOUR AIR SYSTEM, A SHOP CAN HOOK UP A PUMP THAT WILL SUCK ALLLL THE AIR OUT OF THE LINES CREATING A VACCUM. THIS HELPS TO GET MAXIMUM AMOUNT OF FREON INTO THE SYSTEM WHITHOUT HAVING A POCKET OF AIR. PUMPING IT DOWN WILL ALSO HELP IN DIOGNOSING? IF THERE IS A LEAK. YOU WANT ALL LEAKS FIXED SO YOU DON'T LOOSE THE FEON YOU ARE JUST PUTTING INTO THE SYSTEM. AND MAY YOU HAVE MANY COLD DAYS OF A/C AHEAD.

You can get an R-134 charging kit at most auto parts places. It contains freon and the hoses to connect it and has a pressure gauge on it so you don't put in too much. On a mk3 you will have to remove the whole centre pannel. On the heater controls you can use a screwdriver to pop of all the knobs and the heat fan level will just pull off, then use a screwdriver again to pull off the whole heat control and unscrew the bulb. now take off the ash tray as if u were cleaning it and look around the bottom area, there will be a total of 3 screws that must be removed. once it has come off you must be careful not to damage any wires, u can then get to the cigerette lighter, two connectors plug in the back of it must be removed and the cigerette lighter shud just pull out, unless there is some sort of clip. put the new cigerette lighter in its place and plug it in with the same connectors and put the centre pannel back in using the reverse process as to how it was removed.

The first and easiest answer that comes to mind is that there is a problem with the cabin air circulating fan. BUT - - there is not really enuf specific information. Are you sure it is a burning RUBBER smell, or a burning PLASTIC smell, or a burning ELECTRICAL smell? All could point to different problems.

don't know about the relay, yet. I do know that the '01 zx3 has an undersized power wire that can cause a blown fuse/relay. I had mine replaced under warrenty years ago. They pulled a new heavy guage wire stirght from the positive battery wire. daeleven

What registration dose the new shape ford focus start from

I have a ford focus 2001 hatchback and the problem seem to be a short circuit caused by the license plate lights. The fuse is burning when I'm turning the taillights on but if I take the license plate light fixtures out of the body of the car then the taillights are working. I'll try putting electrical tape around the metal parts of the license plate light and see if it's still burn the fuse (number 32, 10 amps).
