if you know nothing about brakes , especially drum brakes i would not suggest messing with them, take it to a shop.if you cant afford it just get a haynes manual from auto zone. oh yea, and only take one side apart at a time, both sides are identacle so if you need to look at something you can just walk around and look. they require special tools for drums too. actually the '97 T-bird has rear rotors, at least on the 4.6 LX.

Yes. The fuel pump in my '87 TB was shut off by the safety switch due to thumping from a tire blowout on the rear driver's side. Inside trunk on rear panel, left half, is a reset button that will re-activate the pump if it has been shut off.

It's caused by engine blow by, there should be a filter in the housing that you can change. It's usually located on the side of the housing and it should have a hose running to the valve cover.

The problem is your turn signal switch. It happened to me before, and the part costs about 160 to 250 dollars. I didnt bother to buy it, instead I made two switches for it that costed me 10 dollars including the wiring. Ive heard a lot of people have the same problem and fearing that it might happen again, i decided to do that. That happened to me and I disassembled my turn signal switch and cleaned the excessive grease that they put in it from the factory. It seems that the grease short circuits the light module. It just cost me a little time (about an hour). That cost is wrong, I just bought a replacement at Advance Auto Parts for 11 dollars, only took me about 5 minutes after I located the relay

There should be an " EEC TEST " connection in your engine compartment near the battery ( or power distribution box if you have one )

For what, the fuel pump? The trunk then.

Start by unplugging the fan and applying power directly to it to see if it turns on. If it does, there's nothing wrong with the cooling fan. If it doesn't, then you'll have to replace it but you need to find out what caused it to go out. Hope this helps.

It should be located somewhere in the trunk, behind the carpet on one side of the trunk or the other. I don't know this model specifically but that's where most fuel pump reset buttons are located....I do know they act as a circuit breaker for fuel delivery in the event of an accident, being in a fender bender will trip the reset button as to stop fuel flow that could definitely complicate your accident.

The oil sending unit is located directly under the oil filter...it has a electrical wire leading to it that you simply remove, then unscrew the sending unit...the reverse to install.

Disconnect the battery Drain the cooling system Remove the fan and clutch assembly from the water pump. You will need to get a fan clutch holding tool and a Fan Clutch Nut Wrench. THEN remove the fan shroud (which has the fan/clutch assembly in it) Loosen the water pump pully bolts Remove the drive belt by rotating the tensioner away from the belt by using pully retaining bolts only. (Do not pry on belt tensioner!) Remove the water pump pulley Disconnect the lower radiator hose, heater hose andwater pump bypass hose at the water pump. Unfasten the bolts that attach the pump to the cylinder front cover. Remove the pump and gasket.

Anything can do it. If you leave your radio on when your waiting on someone, or many people have problems with their door hinges on the 90's thunderbirds so this prevents the doors from closing all the way. Mine used to do it all the time. I had to change the hinges and the clips on the inside of the door panels.
