Where is the schrader valve on a 2001 Pontiac grand prix gt?

Typically there will be 8 of them. 1 on each tire, including the spare. 1 on the fuel pressure test port, 1 on the high side AC and 1 on the low side AC. If you're wanting to charge the AC, most GM vehicle low side AC ports are near the firewall, on the passenger side, but that's not always the case. one foolproof way, follow the AC lines from the compressor. one of the lines will go to the condenser (behind the radiator). The OTHER line is the low pressure line. Follow that one back until you find the test port.

Where do you find the AC drain line on a 1999 Grand Prix?

It is located on the passenger side firewall below one of the heater hoses. It is a 90 degree elbow and looks like was kind of like a fat bulb with a nozzle on the bottom of it on my car. Pull it off and make sure it is not clogged. If it was clogged you have a puddle of water under your car now. To clean out the tube stick a plastic zip tie into the hole in the firewall where you took the elbow from and up the tube. Move it all around to get any gunk out. If it

What could cause the check engine light that throws the gas cap code to come on again several days after retightening the cap?

The Check engine light could be several different problems, not solely the gas gap not being tight. Your emissions could be messed up. Placing fuel injector cleaner in your gas and using a higher octane could solve the problem. Another problem could be your air intake. Change your air filter and clean out any dirt in the filter housing. The final issue could be oxysgen sensors. I have read that they need to be replaced anywhere from 30,000 miles to 60,000 miles. A bad O2 sensor will turn on the check engine light. Good luck. The evaporation cannister is a likely culprit. These are known to be faulty on many Chevy Prizm models. I know the 99s have them for sure, because I just had mine replaced a few months ago. It's a costly repair; I hope you have a warranty.

What causes the engine of a 2002 Pontaic grand prix gt to start idling rough?

In general, rough idle for almost any car can be caused by plug wires, sparkplugs, injector(s) (depending on whether it's throttle body or port injected), EGR valve, burned exhaust valve or anything that the computer says is wrong. In general, if the engine is giving you any problems and you don't have any specific concerns, run a computer diagnostic test first. But if the engine has overheated, the first step should be a compression test. Good luck.

Should a modem be turned off when not in use?

(not a correct answer)

Of course a modem shouldn't be turned off while not in use it will loose its memory and you would have to reprogram it, so keep it on.

Modem can be turned off to save power and to prevent it from over heating if they are not in a well ventilated place when not in use. All good modems are designed for continuous usage. and should be able to remain on for long time (many months and years) as long as there is no software glitch or malfunction causing it to hang.

Modems will not loose any memory and will not need any reprogramming when turned back on. All settings are stored in a non-volatile memory which is not erased when device is off. The embedded software is also in a Flash memory. Some service providers recommend that you keep the modem on so that in case there is a software/modem firmware update from their side, it can be updated while modem is on. It can also be updated when you are keeping the modem off and next time when you turn on the modem.

Keeping your computer and modem off when not in use is a good idea to save power and protect your system from network attacks and misuse if there is no firewall installed.

Can you put a supercharger on a 1987 Nissan Pathfinder?

Hi there. You know what's funny is I typed in the EXACT same question- year and all. Kudos for wanting to get the most out of your pathy! They're the most underrated vehicle I've ever seen. Here's what I know... I know that most engines, unless built with a stock turbo or supercharger have cast pistons- which are really only intended for the type of pressure they encounter they are exposed to under stock conditions. Engines with superchargers usually have forged or hypereutectic pistons- which are more durable and made to stand up to the added demand created by a turbo/super charger. Does this mean that you can't do it??? I don't know. The Nissan VG30I engines have proven to be really tough when you take good care of them. Here's a website that might really help: nissanpathfinders.com. Good luck!

To bypass the governor on a 1998 grand prix gt do you need to purchase a new chip or is it done through the CPU of the car If its the CPU does altering this hurt the life expectancy of the car?

K well i asked the same question a while ago and yes it is done by the CPU, so what you can do is if you know about car computer system's you can reset it and program it to your own specifications with a computer you buy at an auto parts store. It takes a few days to do this and your car will be in non-working condition during the process so i recommend you take it to a professional to have it done because if you do it wrong you could leave your car permanently non-working. I have a 1999 GT coupe and i had it done professionally it wasn't to expensive. its well worth it too
